I often dream I'm in elaborate malls and shopping centers that don't exist. But usually with most dreams I only vaguely remember fragments of what was going on in them.

. . .I went to my home and noticed that the front door had been opened but a clever lock I'd made had stopped whoever it was from getting in. My wife and I realised it had been the landlord who was being over-zealous about the rent and had been calling round all the tenants on the due day to collect it personally. The door wouldn't close properly any more because of their attempts to open it.

That actually came true this morning, though one or two minor details were different. I was perfectly able to close the door, and I couldn't have put my clever lock on from the outside. And I still don't know why the landlord tried to burst in.

I hope the rest of that dream doesn't come true. Lucky I'm not superstitious or I'd be scared stiff.

I dreamt I was in some strange house [I'd never been in it in my lifetime so far, perhaps in the future?] with my late sister, who was disturbed to the point of levitating a foot off the ground in horror, at a pair of large dark mice scampering from one mouse hole in the wall opposite the bathroom, to another mouse hole leading outside to the front yard. a pair of stray cats, one a white mutt cat and other one an orange tabby with a dual-ended lightbulb stuck in its mouth, popped into existence in the living room and the white mutt cat pounced upon both mice and ate them both at once, then left the scene, the orange tabby looked at me with desperation in its eyes so I removed the light bulb from its mouth and went to the kitchen sink to wash it off of its cat saliva and access its usability, the orange tabby dutifully followed me expecting to be fed, and it went right to a cat dish full of water with cat food on the bottom and ate heartily, then when it finished it snuggled up to me purring.

I was at home in England, in the living room when I heard through the wall the neighbours having a conversation that was so loud that I could hear the words. I yelled "Shut up!" at the top of my voice and somebody yelled something back saying they were going to keep on talking, and they did. Then 3 of my old music buddies were with me in my parents' house in Sheffield, and 2 of them had an idea to re-record the vocal for a song we'd already recorded, with new comedic words that they'd written during their recent jam together where one of them had accidentally sung the wrong words which had led to the idea. It was Friday and our jam was done, and everybody was getting ready to leave. They'd handed lyrics sheets round to everybody, the idea being to record the new vocals as a multi-part harmony with us all singing. I asked around to find out when we were to do the recording, as nobody had said, and I got the answer that they hadn't decided yet, one of them being so busy, but that it would probably be on Saturday. I thought that was sooner than I'd expected.

Actually that's pretty much the most non-weird dream I've ever had, but I'm not wasting all that typing. It's so normal that it could almost have really happened, except that the one who sang the wrong words wasn't a singer, except on one recording which wasn't the one in question, and it would have been unusual if we'd tried to do 3-part harmonies together, because nearly everything we did was just with one singing, except for "Chains" which two of us did once as a duet for fun. And the sudden time shift between my current home in England and my parents' house back in the 1970s couldn't have happened in real life.

I woke up to a rather strange dream this morning. There was no imagery at all. The dream consisted of a nonsense "word" slowly repeated, almost sung (almost like a Gregorian chant), slowly, over and over again for what seemed like an hour or two.

The "word" was (phonetically) something like raw-ko-saw-key with the first syllable starting out low (lower then the do in the old "Do a deer, a female deer" song from the Sound of Music); the second syllable was a bit higher than the first; the third syllable started out a little higher than the second, but then slid down almost to the second; and the fourth syllable was at the same as the third syllable started.

Each intonation was about three or four seconds followed by a two or three second pause.

Had a dream last night that I was in middle school with my former friends. I haven't thought about them for a decade but here they were. It proves the subconscious has a better memory than I do.

I dreamt my mate filled the bathroom bathtub to the brim with water and was floating a bunch of multicolored ceramic planters in it, each full of water. she was attempting to drag another full bathtub full of waterlogged planters in the water up onto the sink but it slipped and deluged the bathroom and hallway with water, we both swore like sailors when this happened.

I dreamed that I posted a comment to a woman's post on WP in which I mentioned that I liked the colour of her shirt. She said that was sexual harassment because I was always complimenting her on her clothes. I replied that I'd only ever talked to her once before. She wouldn't concede the point so I said "OK then, I'll never speak to you again." I went to a building where I had a job as a librarian or something similar. The woman who ran the place told me I was good but that my ASD was very obvious.

I woke up feeling a bit hard done by. :(

I dreamed that I went to work in computer security for a large company.

They had a tall skyscraper and the computer room and computer security offices took up an entire floor and had two secret entrances.

When you got off of the elevator, there were two doors -- one to the men's restroom and one to the women's restroom. At the back of each restroom was a secret sliding panel that would open into a vestibule with a security door. The security panel would not open unless you washed your hands first.

There was a bug. Initially, to leave, you had to wait for someone coming in to wash their hands so that you could open the security panel to leave. Of course, they would then have to wash their hands again to open it to enter. So they fixed the bug by installing a sink in each vestibule so that you could wash your hands and then open the panel to leave.

I dreamt that I was at my late parent's home, it was a gray day outside [typical for Pacific Northwest] and a gray and somewhat ragged pickup truck pulled up in the driveway, a man got out wearing a beige overcoat and a guy Fawkes mask approached the door, I tried to close it and lock it but the door fell apart on me, totally disintegrated, and the strange pulled out a rifle-sized pistol and shot me several times, I felt the heat of the bullets as they tore through me, then I awoke.

Yikes.

I have dreamed of dying on very rare occasion, but never of being shot.

I had this dream on Wednesday night / Thursday morning while in a hotel overnight before going to my citizenship ceremony:

Relatives unexpectedly appeared as I was walking to the building where the ceremony was to happen, wanting to be my guests - Mum and Dad (long dead in real life) were there and (eventually) quite a few others (some recognisable as being alive in real life, others unknown to me). I went away to quickly check on my cat Sooty (quite impossible in real life, as I only had a few minutes to get to the building which was several hours away from home). I'd left Sooty at the house of some friends who had said they'd look after her. I found her sleeping in a basket with 3 brown dogs, one of which was a sausage dog. She woke up and I stroked her, but she said "don't touch me." I asked her if it was her itching that had made her sensitive (she has a itchy allergy in real life), and figured she might be itching worse than usual because I hadn't been there to comb her fur (something I do every day to help relieve her itching). In real life I'd just left Sooty home on her own as I was only to be away for 24 hours.

I went to look for her comb and found it in another room all covered in dirt and cobwebs. I figured the friends hadn't bothered to comb her at all and had rather neglected her generally. I went back to comb her, and as I did so I told her I had to go back to the citizenship place. She said "don't leave me here again," and I said I had to but I promised to be back by the end of the day. She was an off-white colour instead of her normal grey/black, and had a few small, thin, multi-coloured streaks. I thought that might be because she'd been neglected.

I took 2 books to a shop and put them on the counter. A shopkeeper (the older one of two) started processing the books as if they were library returns. I took one of them back again and tried to explain that it was a Sooty book, not about our cat Sooty but about some other animal with the same name (I think the book was supposed to be Sooty's bedtime story book - not that I read her bedtime stories in real life of course - I might be soft but I'm not that soft), and showed him the title and the name of the author on the front cover (Unwin?) to somehow show that I was right to keep the book.

I dreamed that my skipping rope snapped

Now I'm thinking that's a sign

I woke up in my dream, in my bed, and thought that the dream was reality. I tried to look at the clock but the clock's time was blurred, so I started to question whether this was a dream? I then went downstairs and to the toilet down there, and tried to look into the mirror but the reflection was blurred, so I decided I wanted to wake up for real and went back to bed within the dream.

I then woke up again, for a second time, in the dream. The clock was again blurred so I thought "here we go again" and went downstairs and repeated my toilet visit as before. As I urinated, I wondered whether I was peeing myself in real life, in my bed where I actually was, as opposed to my dream self who was located in the bathroom.

I tried to look into the bathroom mirror this second time, but as I did, my entire head, both the scalp on top of my head and the sides of my head started folding inward, sort of like the petals on a flower when they close as they get too wet. I screamed and ended up looking out of a pin hole at the end of my now folded head, trying to look in the mirror to see what was happening, but my vision was obscured.

So I went up the stairs and back to bed with only a small pin hole of vision to guide me and then after that I woke up for a third time, this time in reality. 8O

Yeah, it was all flexible and just looked like a saggy lump of skin and scalp, there was no blood or anything.
