I was thinking livestock and markets

It just made me wonder that's all

I've always wanted to see what used to happen in the Corn Exchange. I suppose they were all swapping sheep for barley and that kind of thing. The one in Leicester is a theme pub now.

Is the Corn Exchange still there

Re. stockmarkets - I suppose the basic meaning of 'stock' is simply one's 'holding' in something, ie one's property. Hence your holding in a company, ie your shares, can be described as 'stock'.
Likewise in a more primitive agricultural society before the advent of industrialization, your 'stock' would largely consist of your animals.
It's worth noting that the Latin word for 'money' was 'pecunia', which is undoubtedly closely connected with the word 'pecus', which is a herd of cattle.

I wonder what ever happened to that kid who was being taken to court for something that nobody could work out what he'd done and what ever it was happened years ago

American sweet shops over here sell everything but candy corn, and I love candy corn. Someone at work once went to America and bought back a huge bag of candy corn and I couldn't stop eating it.

I think it's rude to judge people because you don't know what motivates a person really

Ah, that's the "walked a mile in his moccasins" thing I think. I reckon all that matters is whether or not I think somebody is a threat to me or my loved ones. Then it's the doctrine of minimum force. I should write a new bible with stuff like that in it.

8O I thought they couldn't do that. Don't they have to have a charge before they arrest you?

It was a complicated story and I can't even remember it properly but it was something that was going on on WP so I thought someone else might know
