Yes, uncle Jan was very grateful :) He has such a cute yorkshire terrier, Aga but she is extremely obese, she weights like 5,5 kilos 8O There were 5 people at the party, including himself, me, my mother, my first cousin and her daughter - they live in the same staircase as him. :)

I like the idea of people living in the staircase but I'm thinking you might mean something different to my interpretation

Sounds like you had a lovely time
The dog should stay away from any cake then

I live in a block of flats, the same as my uncle. It's a building like that:

And the cute doggy, the same as the doggy of my cousins that was also present at the party, didn't get any food from the table :)

No, there was no classic birthday/nameday cake (people here don't prepare such cakes on the occassion of their namedays) but there was quite a tasty strawberry cake, pizza, ice cream and cherries :) This uncle's wife, aunt Wanda (my godmother who hated me with the whole passion) died last month.

Uncle Jan, to tell the truth, was quite an unfriendly man back in the days of his youth but now he got much more friendly :)

Like Roland Deschain (vide Stephen King's "The Dark Tower) would have said: "the world has moved on" :)

His wife died last month and I attended her funeral then - she had Alzheimers. Before she got it, she hated me. She was not a good person.

Yeah I think I remember you mentioning her before

Sometimes life can make some people quite bitter I've found

But that's no excuse for her to treat you badly

She hated me so much because she was always comparing her daughter to me - and I had so many advantages over her. She is plump - I am thin, she has red hair and freckles all over her face - I am not a ginger (I have wavy, dark blonde hair) and don't have any freckles. I was also the top student at school - she got just average grades. I was truly loved by our grandparents - she was only liked, that's all. I'm not also a lesbian like her - though this then again wasn't the source of shame for my aunt, for she was always boasting so much about her daughter getting married to another woman (she had to go to France with her to be able to do this, for in Poland it is not possible for two women to get married).

My aunt was always such a b***h towards everybody else around.

She can't have been a very happy person when you put it like that

Yes, she additionally got Alzheimers after she mocked my grandfather after he got it himself - back in the 90's.
