If I want hot water I just boil a kettle. The hot water system here is f****d.

Same here. My gas boiler hasn't been serviced for over 20 years, and I think I could blow the house up if I tried to use it.

I'd like a real tree with real candles. Some parts of Germany still do this.

Why can't mosquitos bite us without spitting saliva into our blood, so that it won't itch? I don't mind bites if they don't give you any grief and just produce a little red spot then heal.

The saliva is an anti-coagulant. They can't suck the blood without making not clot up first. :nerdy:
