I think that autism with NLD neuropsychological profile tends to have smaller (less painful and less dangerous) sensory issues than autism without this profile or than autism with good non-verbal (for example visual) thinking.

For some reason I'm fairly often mistook for a woman on-line, that is if I don't specify my gender.
I find it funny tho I don't get why it's that

I think that "NLD" has to be classified as a pervasive developmental disability, not as a specific developmental disorder.

I think that DSM-V autism spectrum disorder criteria are too strict.

I had once regularly consume caffeine in different forms.
Because I really just happened to like the taste of those beverages; coffee, carbonated drinks...

Yet and yet, effects of caffeine are just not good for me. It doesn't reliably make me more alert, perked up, productive, awake, etc.

More like palpitating, disorganized hyperactivity, notable short term memory issues, emotional dysregulation, insomnia or straight up worse sleep like my body was more stressed than it should at rest.

And consuming enough of it for 2 days in a row, and then stopping it would give me a day long headache.

Should I end up regularly consuming stuff with caffeine in any way, I can always quit.
Did it multiple times -- whether after several years, several months, or few days after and some of it were unintentional by straight up forgetting to consume some.

Like I never needed "steps" or an intent to stop consuming caffeine altogether despite regularly consuming some and more.

So as much as I don't understand how people work or function without caffeine, I don't understand how people couldn't quit either.

But sure, I can understand enjoying it so much to a point consuming some of those beverages with caffeine for several times a day for years.

The flavors, I understand -- the caffeine as a function, I do not.
And it just frustrates me sometimes because of the latter.

I have recently developed a strong interest in lighthouses
and have felt a temptation to join the US Lighthouse Society.

I would say that NLD (nonverbal learning disability, nonverbal learning disorder) is a separate profile of autism, different from "classic" profile with severe sensory issues and also different from PDA profile. "Pure NLD" is another thing - it is developmental visual-spatial disorder (DVSD). But DVSD can be a comorbidity in ASD.

I have rather developmental visual thinking impairment than developmental visual-spatial disorder. I have "dysharmonic" thinking style with underdeveloped visual thinking skills.

I have thoughts that damning any being endlessly is intrinsically evil. I "struggle with religious difficulties" a lot.

I hate it when I can't find news articles to post here on Wrong Planet.

I would think that autism is often misdiagnosed as personality disorder or specific developmental disorders, especially in adults and adolescents.

I've took 6270 photos that made into archive since 12/2019 (time I started caring for them). 'Bout half of these, and I mean that literally, are of my hamsters heh

I have obsessive doubts about not having or having Asperger syndrome.

I have problems with constructing texts in the Internet. Poor concentration?

I have "obsession about NLD" - I suppose that I "just" have nonverbal learning disability and I that I have never had autism spectrum disorder.

I suppose that NVLD with social problems but without ASD can be more disabling than ASD level 1.

I think that I might have never experienced sensory overstimulation, at least leading to sensory overload, especially with shutdown or meltdown.

I "fear" that I am "just NLD" but I was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome in Poland.

My favourite TV shows are Hogan's Heroes, Benson and The Monkees in that order.
