I just got back from a vacation in Switzerland and I still feel like the whole room is moving. I can't handle the changes in pressure and have to force myself to stay upright during take-off and landing. After four planes throughout the whole journey I'd expect to be a little used to it, but it kept getting worse. Anybody else hate having to deal with this?

Nah, not really. I actually think the takeoff feeling is cool, like a smooth rollercoaster. But I can hardly stand everything around the flight thats comming with it and flying is simply a boring way to travel for me...
And I went to Switzerland on vacation - by train only - its a high recommendation for you for next time

I hate flying. But only because it's boring. I have absolutely no fears about it.

Since my three sisters and my mom live in another country (Germany), I've had to fly many many times. Can't even count them.

I can't fly due to being hypersensitive to pressure change. Only time I ever flew I was nearly screaming in pain, hurt at least a day and couldn't hear right for over a week.

I hate flying because it's stressful - I've had my luggage lost by the airline, I've had flights canceled, I've nearly missed flights due to flight delays / too few immigration officers. I've had to sleep on an airport floor to the background noise of riots. I get chosen for 'random' extra searches at airports far more often than is plausible at random. I've had to explain the relevant country's visa policies to its own immigration agents, as well as to airlines, more than once. Plus, it's cramped and boring. So while I'm not afraid of crashing or something, I do find it pretty stressful and unpleasant. Trains are usually better, just not in Britain.

I've never tried it, but fairly certain I wouldn't enjoy it.

No.

There are things I hate about flying (security, bad service) but they have nothing to do with flying itself.

The actual act of flying, I rather enjoy.

I can't quite take a train through the Atlantic though. But I've been to Switzerland many times before since I've family there, so it's always been an issue. So far my only solution is to simply chew gum, and it definitely works.

Flying is just about the most exciting thing one can do with his clothes on. Especially if one is the pilot.

I despise flying--the pressure gives me headaches, cramped, stress, I get half-way paranoid about safety on the aeroplane--it's just several hours of not fun for me.

Interestingly, when I was little, between second and fifth grade, flying never bothered me and I rather enjoyed it. After that, I've despised it more and more each year.

I like airport environment though oddly. I am indifferent to flying.

I used to be scared of flying big time. I used to get valium prescriptions for plane trips, or if I forgot to get valium beforehand I'd get drunk, and if I did either of those things I was ok.

Before the liquid regulations were in effect I would send a 6 pack in a brown paper bag thru the security x ray machine

I always loved it too when they'd hassle me at 30,000 feet in the air about drinking my own beer on the plane (for some reason it was OK to take brew thru security, but not OK to drink it on the plane? Weird). What on earth are they going to do, kick me out?

I got over all that somewhat, flying still makes me nervous but I can handle it now without the valium/booze/whatever with few issues.

I don't like flying because it has became a nuisance. Charged checked on luggage, allowed only two carry ons.
