Where would you go? I would want to go to Italy because of some italian restaurants I've been going to and there are many cool landmarks and monuments there.

Gotta be Japan. I've been to France already, but I'm sort-of a techno-whizz and Japan seems to be the right country for me!

I agree about Japan. If I had stayed in the military I would have tried to get stationed there. I plan to start learning Japanese soon, but the software is so expensive! I just love Japanese culture and the food! I have been to Germany and Korea in my travels. I think I would like to go to France, England, Scotland, and Ireland, as well.

Japan. I've had a strong desire to go to Japan since I was 12. I love the culture over there.

My second choice would be Italy.

Italy almost won because it had the best food I have EVER eaten. Seriously, it was incredible. But I said Other because of Switzerland.

Switzerland basically looked like Lord of the Rings and it had really really really nice people. One of my friends and I met a nice old couple on their way back from grocery shopping who spoke perfect English and were really friendly.

as i am monolingual, i would choose a commonwealth country like canada, australia/nz, the british isles. if i could have the smart brain implant that would enable me to easily learn a foreign tongue, france would be atop the list. they have a certain "something" [j'en sai quoi? savoir faire?] which i have not observed [from afar] in any other country.

I voted for Japan but I'd also go to India. I was very passionate about India for few years. If I had to choose between these two, today I'd say Japan I would also go to Egipt. I've been there just once but loved this place

Kerguelen, which I guess comes under "France." My ideal holiday destination, or it would be if going there wouldn't involve an enormous amount of faff.
