Hiya,

When im on my own i often start talking absolute nonsense like garbled words and sounds... nothing like actual words, well on this planet anyway... while and shortly after an outburst of noise i feel really euphoric which makes me think im just doing it to force a wave of fake happiness... just wondering if anyone else here does this or is it just a special quirk of mine...

sorry if this is the wrong place for this :)

My talk while alone might sound somewhat silly or nonsensical to someone else, yet I am, like you, nevertheless fulfilling a specific need.

I say actual words, but the statements I make still have no sense to them. They'll usually be related to whatever I'm thinking, but they'll be completely random.

For example, if I'm thinking about snow, I'll randomly muter or just think, "snow yeah not rain snow snow snow."

Yeah, at times. Sometimes it's repeating something that's on the TV, and other times I dunno where it comes from, but it's oddly very disconnected from my thoughts at the time.

I talk to myself all the time when I'm alone. I may be repeating something I hear on television or read on the internet, or repeating various words or phrases that are stuck in my head.

I also tend to make noises when I'm alone, such as squealing out of excitement.

I talk about butterdogs and green skies when I'm alone.

No, I don't talk to myself, but I sing many songs.

Yes. But not always when alone. Sometimes at home when it's just my family. Rarely in public, but it happens.

I do the same as you, and I say random stuff to my dogs. If someone has hurt my feelings or peeved me off that day, I vent to my dogs and it makes me feel better and get over it.

I also repeat things in my head that I've seen/heard recently. Could be anything and everything that I repeat.

Anyone else think about numbers?

This is what I do as well. I also talk with my cats throughout the day and night if I'm up. Sometimes I make sense when I'm talking to them and sometimes I guess I wouldn't make sense because I don't always say what I'm completely thinking. They understand and that's what matters. :cat:
