One of my favorite quotes is "you were born a original, don't die a copy "

I love that message. Everybody should feel free enough to be themselves. We don't live life in a vacuum. 8)

That's a great quote.

I like the expression "you're never alone with a clone". I think it explains why some people try to fit in and copy everyone else.

Yes, indeed. Be yourself and accept yourself. Better yet, enjoy being yourself!

A thread for me to be myself in! :D

Don't mind if I do.

I love being myself. It makes my time here a lot easier. :)

How are you? (Echoes)

I asked you first! (Echoes)

Oh, that's really mature! Saying exactly what I say! (Echoes)

OP, a very nice message. If you're not being yourself, then what are you being?

I'm so happy to see that this has stayed a feel-good thread! :D Let's all keep on taking Ms. Bonham Carter's advise and keep on being ourselves!

Funnily, one of the main complaint threads on the Autism Sub-Forum is about shibboleths like "Be Yourself.". Clearly this is the NT section of the site, lol.

(And, now someone's going to bltch that I didn't keep the feel-good mantra going. Damn, I guess I should've NOT been myself.)

Also, I'm sure if the OP was "ugly", the positive/negative response ratio would've been different.

Y'know, I'm really sick and tired of people accusing me of acting like an NT.

And that isn't a picture of me in the original post - it's English actress Helena Bonham Carter.

Not in my case. I couldn't care less if the OP or whoever was holding the signs is "ugly" or not - the message is most important here.

Everyone is entitled to be themselves. Who cares if other people don't like it?
