I like it when names that are unisex are given to the less common gender. For example, it's nothing special for a girl to be named Ashley, but I think it's awesome when a guy is named that. Also, there's an actress named Jamie King who used to go by the name James King, and I thought that was cool and was disappointed when she switched to Jamie.

My name was VERY close to being Jordan with the a. It was between that and the name I had now, and the name I have now was decided last minute after I was born. I always liked it spelled with an a, but then I saw it on a show once spelled like Jordyn and I really liked that for a girl. I find the y in the middle of the name to be very girly for some reason. If I was going to call a boy that (which I probably wouldn't just because I like it more for a girl), I would use the Jordan version.

I like your version better, due to my affinity for words that are pronounced exactly the way they're spelled.

That affinity is probably why I like the German language so much.

They're all Celtic. :lol: Lowena (which means something like "happiness) and Yowann (their version of "John") are Cornish, Erwan (don't know what it means but it sounds awesome) is Breton, and the others are Scottish Gaelic except Aislinn which is Irish Gaelic. I will not have children without at least one having a Celtic name. :twisted: My favorite name of all has long been "Fiona", don't know why.

Is it just me, or are older names much more awesome sounding than the ones we have today? I mean, anyone can be called Chris or Jeff, but only truly amazing people, ideas, and things are called Gemini, Orion, Titan, etc. I wish I had a cool name like that.
