Well the way I'd look at it is I'd hope they could learn a hard lesson in humility, but not actually starving or something.

Do him and yourself a favor - give him just enough money to either buy a meal and feed himself for a day, or a bottle of cheap liquor and waste himself for a night.

In the end, he will remember your kindness, and curse himself many times over for giving you the opportunity to be gracious to him.

Then again, maybe he will just curse you. In which case, you can walk away knowing that you have scorched his ego by demonstrating that his bullying not only had no lasting effect on you, but that in the end it did nothing to make him a better person than you.

I wouldn't want the bullies homeless. I'd just want them to realise what they did to people and so learn from their mistakes and break their cycle.
