Tell her she'll look 10 years younger with 'em.
Should work.

Use Photoshop to show her what she would look like with them

I think that the OP is asking how he can best convince his mom to let him get piercings.

If he asks her and offers to pay for them out of his own pocket (show her the money!), then maybe it will work.

But if he's over the age of 17, he may not need her permission at all.

At 14, I'd hold off a while and and see how you feel about it later.

What's your mom like? How do you guys typically communicate? Is she very averse to this kind of thing, or somewhat open, or...?

I have pretty laid back parents who initially raised a bit of a fuss when I started getting into piercings and such, but got used to it after a bit because they realized I could just take the damn things out if I didn't like them (for the most part).

Just FYI, bottom lip piercings = lots of swelling & chapping for the first while. I got two of them at once and took them out after a few days because it was bothering me so bad, and I have a pretty good pain tolerance.

P.S. OP = lady person. Probably doesn't matter in this context, just FYI.

If all else fails, wait 4 years. At the very least it will give you time to change your mind before poking a hole in something.

Yeah, that was a little confusing. Maybe learning how to write a semantically correct sentence would help?

Tell her that you're modeling for a Punk Rock magazine.

On the contrary, I think more condescending remarks from people who have a better handle on this learned skill are what the doctor ordered!

The last town I lived in has an excellent Belgian fry/poutine cart, and one of their dishes is a pile of fresh french fries with homemade peanut sauce and chipotle-raspberry jelly/syrup all over them. IT'S AMAZING.

Don't underestimate the power of speaking and writing well. People are a lot less likely to outright dismiss something they personally find ridiculous when it's presented in an intelligent manner.

Well said.
