I regret wanting a DS Lite. Both the games I have suck, I can't get online and I can't get more games for it! It was a waste of $200! Make that $400! She had to get one for my brother too, and he never uses his either! Oh, how I want a DS game right now...

Advance Wars: Duel Strike is pretty good.

http://customwars.com

You can download a PC version here.

Just go to "General Programming"

And go to "Releases" thread

and download and unzip it

Then open the .jar file.

I'll help you out more with it then.

I'd rather get a proper DS game, plus that wouldn't work on nanna's PC.

It's Java

As long as the computer has Java 5 it runs.

Most all computers have it.

Even my FreeBSD system does.

You should be able to play it.

But we have no AI yet and online involves Hamachi.

You may have it on your computer. Flagg, how do you check which Java version you've got on your computer?

Don't ask me.

I use FreeBSD, not Windows.

Java 5 has been around for years and is standard stuff to my knowledge.

Ah, just found out. Go into "My Computer", C Drive, Program Files, Java, the next folder, and open the ReadMe file (a text file). I definitely have 5.

That's weird.

I've never seen a comp without Java.

Try it Quatermass. (Custom Wars, I mean)

It's not a hard game to figure out.

You have use the arrows for scrolling but the mouse works in most parts of the game. (Hell on Earth to program, that was)

No thanks. I'm wary of games on the computer. However, there were a few on the Doctor Who website that were entertaining. You can play as a Dalek in one, and kill your way through a top-secret facility.....
