I've heard it said that some autism can be blamed on the Barney show. I've also heard that some people are gay because they watched Barney when they were little.

I just don't see how a TV show can do these things.

No, and the correlation is spurious at best.

All this time I thought the Power Rangers were to blame.

I don't believe it for a minute.

That is utter garbage. The people who say are probably just being trolls. People are born autistic or homosexual, and there is no evidence that a TV show can make people that way.

Barney doesn't cause autism but he does cause homosexuality.

Evidence? I have never watched the show, I have autism and I'm not gay. :P

I don't think Barney causes autism or homosexuality but I do think he causes stupidity. A lot of young people today watched Barney when they were kids, and that's why they're now eating Tide Pods and snorting condoms up their nose.

^ Snorting condoms? Is that the newest thing now?

How come there were autistics and gay people before Barney ever aired?

Not new but currently trending. Snort condom up nose and pull out of mouth. Try not to let it get stuck in a nasal cavity or choak on it.

I'm sorry, but your evidence is contradictory to mine.

I hated Barney, and i'm gay. Autism questionable.

I heard the Muppet Show caused homosexuality because there was a pig in love with a frog

No, just irritation-the whole program was annoying from beginning to end.

I guess Sesame Street causes homosexuality too because Bert and Ernie are supposedly more than "just friends".
I think if anything they might really be asexual.

In fact every show, book or movie that has two guys who are best friends people claim they are really gay, even if they have female romantic interests. Or that a strong and independent female character must be a lesbian. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I still find people's assumptions that were not the creators' intentions to be very annoying.

Apparently I should be a drug addict because I watched the Smurfs as a kid and they lived in mushroom houses.
