How does COVID-19 Affect your hobbies?

I find that it’s not affecting my hobbies. I still take walks on nice days but I’m mainly enjoying video games, watching Hulu, hanging out with my plushies and browsing for new clothes and picking out new scrapbooking and gardening supplies.

How about you?

I have no "hobbies" per se

However because Coronovirus , almost everything that is not officially an essential business, closed

Many jobs lost. Expensive hobbies take a low priority

Social distancing. Hobbies that involve groups, more inconvenient to do. Of course, that doesn't prevent all parties, mosh pit, or whatever. But reduction

Ordering things on Ebay or Amazon is like pulling teeth right now. Apparently it's worse than Christmas for Canada Post right now, but I don't care, it's no excuse, and I'm disgusted and frustrated with them for not doing their job.

A couple of parcels I ordered from Amazon couldn't reach me and got sent back. So will Amazon resend them again? If they don't, will my money be refunded? They don't say. They won't tell me anything I need to know.

Of course, my power bill and a bunch of useless flyers got mailed to me just fine.

And Walmart is about the only store I can go to right now to buy arts and crafts supplies and they barely have anything. I miss going to Micheal's.

Does shopping count as a hobby?

And before you all go "there's this wonderful new invention called the internet, you can do your (clothes) shopping online for the rest of your life", stop right there. As a person who loves shopping and browsing, sitting in front of a screen to do my clothes shopping does not give me the same thrill as actually walking around stores, trying clothes on, and being around other people.
Also because of this virus going around I cannot do any of the other things I enjoy such as:-

Having a day at the seaside
Going swimming
Going on vacation
Spending time with my family in my mum's beautiful garden
Visiting theme parks

Yes I have been engaging myself in indoor hobbies but having all the activities outside of my home taken away from me is very upsetting.

My hobbies are mostly spending time with my girlfriend(we live together & she likes staying home), watching TV, spending time on computer(like this forum) while listening to music. So my hobbies aren't really affected.

It hasn’t affected my hobbies, either (or really, any area of my life). I just sit around at home playing games on my iPad, playing Animal Crossing, browsing the Internet, and occasionally writing, as inspiration hits (or doesn’t hit) me.

I've had more time for watching my shows which is cool, but I find that I've lost motivation when it should be a great time for me to craft and draw possibly because of depression. I've been reading a lot thanks to having a Kindle, but I've been sad about not getting to go to the library and check out books from there. I'm finding myself obsessing over school too which is becoming a problem. Luckily my shows and reading are helping to distract me a little.

I've been working on my hobbies more and I've seemed to have discovered a new hobby. Casual computer games that I get paid to play. Another hobby is going on long walks in the mornings.

I paint and collect watches and vintage die cast cars. All solitary activities so not really affected by the current situation. Sometimes things take a little longer to arrive via the postal system that's all.

I think my current music taste is partly due to all this sh!t. I like a variety of music & I have phases where I listen to a certain type for a while. Rite now I'm really into the old-skewl punk stuff. I think society(at least here in the United Police State Of America under the fascist dictator Donald Trump) is royally f#cked up the a$$. I like the rebelliousness & attitude of the old-skewl punk stuff. The punk revolution was partly due to issues like war, unemployment, depression, & sh!tty political establishment which seem very relevant now I'll f#ckin say

Covid is not problem as collector , forced vat tax is - unless i get a shipping buddy im quitting ebay

In regards to model railways, there are shortages in new track as Peco, who in Britain are the main manufacturer of track have suspended track production and where three yard lengths of flexible track would normally go for around £13 to £15 (Which to be honest is quite a lot as prices have zoomed up in not that many years), was seen on sale via a well known auction site for £75.
Other items were said to be also hard to find. I can't say I have personally had any issues but there again I have not bought any track for a long time or any of the other items that were mentioned.

99% only things of the only things I enjoy doing outside of the apartment is shopping and going out to eat. A couple of other things I only get to do once a year, like go to the wildlife park or go swimming. I don't have a car so my choices are very limited.

Yesterday I would have gone home for Mother's Day, and my mother and I would have then gone on our yearly trip together. But because of covid we didn't get to do anything. I got her a card and a present that I gave her today but that was it. I called her up yesterday and pretended to be happy but after I was done I cried.

I'm so sick of this. Today at the store I just wanted to tear of thew mask I was suffocating under, grab a steak knife and and go stab stab stab until I was dead dead dead. We're all going to be dead in a few more months. Might as well kill ourselves than endure one more month of this. If they do create a vaccine the anti-vaxxers will sabotage it. They'll be the first ones to take it, and then they'll lie and tell the public that they had horrible reactions to the vaccine.

I like going on the local buses and trams most days, but have not been able to do so for the last 11 weeks because of this health scare business, or whatever you want to call it.
