When I was 24 my quality of life was much better and people treated me much nicer. Now nearly aged 31 my quality of life is a lot worse and people are not as nice to me.

Is it normal for your quality of life to get worse once you reach your 30s?

Yes it is. There are many whose lives get harder when they get older, but also many whose lives get easier as they age. You just happen to belong in to the first group.

One of the reasons that people aren't as nice anymore could be that you break lots of social rules, but you were forgiven when you were younger because people thought you'd learn and grow up with time. "Boys will be boys", as the somewhat harmful saying goes. Another option is that you yourself aren't as nice as you were when you were younger, so people treat you accordingly. Or maybe you just hang out with less nice people than you did when you were younger. Or maybe all of these. Or maybe something else entirely. Who knows.

I haven't heard from a good friend for a while, and I am distracting myself by posting here. ;)

I am 33, and my life is worse, harder, my family hates me because I was rude to them, and I have less patience, and I am now called 'Sir', got fat, and not good looking.

When I was 24, I was trying to exercise and did physical activities like ultimate frisbee or social dancing or occasional efforts to go to the gym.

I suspect the main reason is I stopped exercising and now I am not as nice to people as a result. Also, I became less sexually attractive, so now women at work aren't as nice to me!

I must be in the second group, as I feel life is getting easier as I'm getting older (or, really, I am just coping better and my social skills have improved).

People get happier with age, over a certain level.
Your 30,
Almost at retirement age,
So that explains your contentment.

People treat me worse, but I can handle it better.

My quality of life is (so far anyway) has gotten better as I get older. I didn't get be diagnosed until I was in my 20s. From that I was able to learn better ways to cope and live. Plus I've gotten better at money management, organizing my day to day life, taking care of my health, and so on. I have more time now to do things I enjoy. I got calmer as I got older too. That's a plus. The list goes on.

You couldn't pay me to go back to my younger years. Being older is where it's at. For me.

Same for me  I was treated much worse in my youth and was much less capable of dealing with it or seeing the problems in my own behaviour.

this old fart is not even "unconventionally attractive" anymore so i get even less unconditional positive regard by people in general. lookism is a very powerful thing in western culture.

It really sucks, but where you live can make a huge difference, both in regards to how you look or generally anything that makes you "different". I have a friend who was born with a cleft palate and the surgeries left visible scars on his face. He was treated with incredible cruelty in his childhood and youth and never got a girlfriend until he turned 30, despite being otherwise a good looking and very cool guy. After moving to a civilised place where people barely notice, never mind care about that kind of thing, he told me he feels like he turned into someone else or started a whole new existence: for the first time in his life he was treated like a human being and shown respect and appreciation, instead of hostility or pity :(. He has a lovely long-term partner now and a lot of other things drastically improved for him.

Being dealt a sh***y hand at birth is bad enough, having others turn your life into a living hell because of it is really unjustifiable

Ditto.
But then again, do we have a choice?
