Siamese Twin Songs

I have long been fascinated with those songs that are always played together on the radio, that don't sound right if you play one without the other but are separate tracks on the LP or CD (or separate MP3s). Incidentally, for the ones in my collection which I have copied from CDs to my PC in MP3 format, I have used an audio editor called Audacity to fuse them together.

Anyway, since they are distinct songs but seem as if they should always be joined together I call them "Siamese Twin Songs." Most examples are from the 70s: Led Zepplin's "Heartbreaker" &
"Living Loving Maid (She's Just A Woman)", Pink Floyd's "Brain Damage" & "Eclipse", and Queen's "We Will Rock You" & "We Are the Champions." The only more recent example I can think of is from the South Park Xmas album where "Hitler's" rendition of "O Tannenbaum" is transitioned into "Satan" singing "Christmastime in Hell."

Does anyone else find this interesting? If so, can you think of other examples?

I do like Siamese cats. I only have a vague recollection of that song, though (It was from Lady and the Tramp, right?).

Anyway, here are some songs I think should always be played one right after the other:

"Million Tears" & "7 Years & 50 Days" by Groove Coverage

"Have You Ever Been Mellow" & "Forever Young" by Tune Up!

Cool! I knew there had to be someone else out there with this interest. Did you have a name for songs like this? It would be an amazing coincidence if you also called them "Siamese Twin Songs!"

I didn't really have a name for it; I just always felt that some songs on my iPod should be played together. For awhile, I thought I was the only one who felt that way.

I agree that R.E.M. is a great band and "Bad Day" and "It's the end of the world as we know it" are both great songs, but I wouldn't classify them as Siamese Twin Songs, since I have heard one played without the other many times. I was referring to songs where one transitions into another, and if the first one is played without the second one it sounds incomplete. They always appear as consecutive tracks on album.
