Today I'm in recovery from the work week which means I don't leave the house. My daughter sprained her ankle so I'm nursing her. My husband's uncle is very ill and we are trying to convince him to go to the hospital. We're watching Absolutely Fabulous on DVD - love the cast, especially the daughter.

So what's going on in YOUR world today?

Today, my parents both left for work, so I've been alternating between being on the Internet and drawing. I did a character design for one of my original characters, and I'm very happy with how he turned out.

My lizard emerged from several days of hiding during which he was preparing to shed. He had shed and his scales were a resplendent green. He also produced a week's worth of waste, so I had to clean his tank and scrub all his furniture clean. He was very hungry, so I welcomed him back to his freshly cleaned home with a bowl of earthworms and meal worms. He gobbled them down voraciously.

Then I dyed my hair.

Then I took a nap.

Now I'm doing laundry, posting here, reading some email, listening to Gilded Palace of Sin by The Flying Burrito Brothers. I'm going to pick up my guitar and start practicing when this record is over.

I need to write 3 papers by Monday, apply for jobs, clean the snails' enclosure, pay the rent, go to the post office to get my mail, and record some songs. I also want to unpack my decorations and put them up so my new place looks more like home.

I'm worried about my future. I graduated college in 2005 but I still can't adjust to the "real world". I was self employed for 2 years, that was great while I could keep it up but after a while I couldn't make the money that I needed to survive (yeah I was lazy and only worked about 10-20 hours a week.) So I got a "real" job. I've had a "real job" for almost a year and a half. I hate it - I don't even feel like I'm existing when I'm working 40 hours a week and I have to be in the office at 8:30am. I used to wake up at noon. f**k.

I babysat my nephew all morning (again they just assumed I wouldn't mind) then had to work from 5 till 10, I came home and talked to my great aunt and uncle who were visiting, I went to take my nephew; brother; and future sister-in-law home, planned my little brother's morning (he has football training all day) so that he can have breakfast and get ready to go so that he will be on time, now am on here and listening to music.

I had a busy day!

I want to self harm REALLY badly...and I feel suicidal, even though I won't act on it. So my world sucks today.

Yeah, I totally relate to that!

Good luck, though. It is sometimes possible to be happy at the right job - once you find it!

Found out my sister is engaged and will be married on a tropical beach next year, so I have a year to save up for it. The rest of the day was spent re-working the roof on my 1/4 inch scale dollhouse, which I have "sort of" worked out right now, but I will have to do some creative camouflage to hide the poor design. I didn't feel much like going outside today, I had a stressful week (managed to incite a couple of meltdowns in NTs this week - one who was angry anyway because of something else and I managed to give him something more immediate to grouch about when I insulted a politician that he apparently thinks highly of, and the other pulled a double mood on me - he appeared to be joking with me, but he turned from joking to irate when I joked back) and I just felt my own health would be better served if I had minimal contact with the outside world today.

I went for a 3 hour walk through the back hills. I took some pills (not illegal) and passed out on the sofa for an hour. I went to the library and did some more research on irrigation methods (my current obsession). I ate a bag of strawberrys and now feel a bit sick. And now I am waiting for a reply on whether or not my short story will be published in one of the journals I submitted to.

This is my third day of swingshift and due to other activities I feel a bit sleep deprived.
I woke up like I have the last two mornings... late.
Spent the morning puttering around the house and getting online.
I actually got to work only 4 minutes late which is pretty good!

At work.. I get to relax usually.. except... I've been anxiously waiting to see if I've ruined another friendship. Too much to explain.
I'm waiting for an email response to see how much damage I've cause yet again.
That and drawing blood on patients, setting up plates for micro specimens, and puttering around the lab doing small stuff.

After this... I hope I'll pack up and go home instead of sitting here like a zombie until 3 or 4 in the morning... I have to be back tomorrow at 2pm again.

The good thing is when I am at work, I don't have as many distractions as when I'm at home.

Not alot apart from doing an NVQ level 2 at work and having to walk 9 miles home the otherday since my bike screwed up lol.

Well, so far today, I've slowly gotten out of bed, eaten a package of pop-tarts (bought a big box of them from Costco) a breaded fried piece of fish from Friday at work, drank some soymilk, and spent the rest of the morning and early afternoon here online.

I'm glad to say that what I was worried about last night turned out to be okay. Well, better than okay, thanks to a friend... and you know who you are!

In about an hour... if I'm on time... I will be on my way to work for the fourth straight swing shift.
After that I get a couple of days off to get my mind back in synch with my life... haha.

Taught my husband to play Mastermind, enjoying the weather (another glorious day in paradise) from the comfort of my easy chair, getting daughter registered for summer session at the local community college (Yeah!). Plan to finish paperwork to submit various claims for things that were stolen when we were robbed in the middle of the night a few weeks ago. Uncle is on his way to the hospital so we'll be calling to make sure he's okay. It now costs $200 to fly from one Hawaiian island to another so we can't afford to go see him in the hospital.

Sorry to hear that. It's so nice to see family come to be with a loved one when they are in the hospital.
That just sounds so harsh to be so close but have to pay that much money just to go see him.
I never knew it was so expensive.

Another day where both mom and dad were gone. Got some new ideas for artwork, and I'm thinking about writing fanfiction. I might merge them together and make a comic. I have no idea whether or not I should post any of it online when I'm done, because it's a pretty big crossover in an alternate universe and contains lots of male x male stuff, so I really don't know if anybody other than me would enjoy it. :/ Then again, Bleedman got famous for his gargantuan crossover, so maybe there's hope for me.

I had a very good day . I went over to my friends house then I cleaned my family's kitchen , clean my room , listen to music then typed here. Then my dad screamed at me for asking for some food but it didn't bother me, I just turned on some music in a silent protest. And I was very happy all in all a very good day!
