Peace is...a purring cat on my lap.

If there is a book called 'The myth of meritocracy', I wonder if anyone would be up to writing a book called 'The myth of anarchy'.

Am considering downloading an audiobook of 'Slaughterhouse-Five' by Kurt Vonnegut.

Now that Anthony Rapp has come forward then others might gain the courage too.

If that was the only time then it is still more than enough to be turned off from him or any person who has done it. The fact he didn't completely deny it or protest any kind of innocence tells me he did it and knows he likely did it but is claiming to have no memory and came out the closet whilst apologising as though that would get him off and/or make people sympathetic towards him

If Spacey had stopped with the apology, it would have gone down as a good one. By following it up with his decision to "live as a gay man" (whatever that means), Spacey drew an implication of some connection between predatory sexual behavior and homosexuality, a libel commonly raised by the religious right and vigorously opposed by reasonable people.

This dude is weird but extremely talented and more "alternative" than anyone I have seen so far! He has many other vids where he pushes the boundaries. This just happens to be (imo) the most boundary pushing vid he has done (and it is a good track which is amazing considering). His YouTube name is Davie504

I'm not so sure an apology for forcing himself on a minor would really cut it tbh. If he did it and knew the lad was underage then he is a paedophile, plain and simple. Saying he is gay at a time like this, and the way he said it (if he did say it cos we all know MSM can lie and twist things), well I'm not entirely sure why he thought it would be a good idea to say it at a time like this, but it has made him look bad, saying it like it is a choice and committing a horrendous libel in the process has made him look even worse.

I will say though, if he turns out to be completely innocent and not even into kids like that then I'd gladly eat all my words, and he could be forgiven for his Freudian slips

A good apology may not be a sufficient penance.

they're coming out of the woodwork. spacey is a predator, not just a guy who made one drunken mistake. i hope his career is over and he gets sued big time.

Well I would hope for a peaceful resolution for both Kevin Spacey and the authorities if that is the case, would be a shame if anyone got hurt unnecessarily if an arrest is to follow.

I would argue that any contact with an underage person is not a mistake. I think that lines gets drawn rather clear when someone gets hurt. I would think that would be that ton of difference in unwanted thoughts from abuse and a predator. Its never okay to have thoughts or commit actions based on a sexual attraction to the underaged if you ask me.

Also I am not here, I am ghost, might reappear several times but still isolating.
