^Reading this made me sad.

The compliments are likely quite sincere, but most people are uncomfortable around anyone who is not an average carbon copy of themselves. Personally, I would rather be good than popular, talented than beloved, an un-noticed true friend than a go-to party pal.

And just for the record, it seems to me that most people admire altruism, but resent the altruist.

Withdrew from a uni subject. Can't handle 2 per semester like I thought I could. At this rate my course is going to take 10 years to finish

Hopefully the textbook is still current next year. It was just a sh***y 1st year finance one I missed enrolling for first up (thought I had advanced standing for it)

Guess what I have left to do for this semester now? Tax law, whoowee

It was raining when I was walking to work from the train station (about 10 minutes) and some water got into my shoes. I was very uncomfortable for the whole 8 hours at work with my socks/feet damp. It's often windy when it rains here. So an umbrella is quite useless. I hate both rain and wind. I can't wait for summer when we have no rain for a few months.

Next month I have technical control of car required by law, and my brakelights / wipers fuse keeps blowing for no reason, mostly after raining, so I suspect that water gets somewhere where it shouldn't be, but I can't find where. I have no money for service or new car.
