I have my pancake bread in the oven and it smells great.

i bumped into the friend of an old friend from high school. i missed the friend by a second because she got on the same train i got off. i miss them.

The fact that I can be honest about myself. I wasn't so honest about myself and my interests at the ages 12 and 13. I guess that was my way of protecting myself.

Resolved the problem with my GPS unit (and that involved some soldering) which was caused by my mis-programming it, then went on to write a Telnet client to access the already-written daemon which provides the interface between the hardware and applications.
Heh. It all works!

After I got out of the shower, and sat at my computer .. I had a ice cream sandwich, and my mind drifted off into it's own world. Just being able to do what I want I guess.

I got payed, today!

Was handed a letter by one of my students on their way out of class today.
It read, amongst other things, "you are by far the best teacher I've ever had..."
wow... that made me happy It's all worth it for stuff like that.

I spent the day with my mom. We ran errands and visited with each other in the morning. Later on in the afternoon, we watched Doctor Who together and then made a homemade pizza.

Oh yeah, and a tropical weather disturbance swept across Florida today, bringing some much-needed rain.
