...Anyways, I'm done with my rendition of the Swamp Dragon. Some more random blurbs about it here: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postp4429794 ... t=#4429794
Happy 3000 posts, kevinjh!

3000 posts? But why should it matter? :D

Excellent rendering of a swamp dragon, although I should have mentioned that their sizes are on an order similar to that of dogs....

Dear Albirea, He (she?) is stunning! I like the body jewelry he(she?)has decorated his(her?)wings with! Now we want colors! Also, do the scales sparkle?

Dear Kevin, Could you possibly be a bit more precise? Dogs range from 2 pounds full-grown (Teacup Chihuahuas) to Zorba,a mastiff who weighed 343 pounds in 1989. T'would be nice to know which extreme the average Swamp Dragon favors. Thank you ever so much.

Your post count is devastating to the rest of us. Congratulations, sincerely....

Thanks everyone!
I made the wings somewhat mechanical-looking, so the "body jewelry" is actually part of the dragon as joints.
Maybe it's about as big as a golden retriever?

I'm bad at digital coloring! Maybe kevinjh can color it?

Hmm, it does seem rather different from Pratchett's concept, but I suppose it does have a nice mechanical side to it. The article describing swamp dragons is located at http://wiki.lspace.org/wiki/Swamp_dragon

I've read that article. The Noble Dragon seems interesting too. I'll put that on my "to draw" queue.

It might please you to know that the Noble Dragon's appearance is actually based on the summoner's mind, as was demonstrated in the series (by a civil servant, no less!).

Perfect! I shall still take everything on the wiki page into consideration, though. Yes, I am very much pleased! :D

Of course, that carries the interesting effect that Freud-patterned psychology learners passing by will perform psychoanalysis through the dragon.
