Welcome to the era of supervillains.

You might talk the talk but can you walk the walk?
If you wanna go to war I'll cause a shortage of chalk.

What you are, I once was.
What I am, you will become.

Death, is that you?
When I'm on the mic I pay homage to you.
I've been rhymicidal, since I learned to babble at the age of two.
Murdered beats by rambling over Sharon, Bram and even Lois too.

i can write rap patter songs - e'ry night and all day long
my rap game's a cloud, simply higher than all of 'em
why bite Lil Wayne when I can bite off Gilbert'n Sullivan?
i robbed 'em both, now the FBI's here, Mulder and Scully'n

A basket of woven reeds
The black crows gather to feed
As a rose with thorns causes my fingers to bleed

Crimson tears, ignoring the pain
As death ends all fears for the lives that are slain
To what of this human justice is there to be gained?

And a sword severs his head
As his head falls into those reeds
Joining the other who is dead
As those crows come to feed

There is the beautiful angel of light
And her shadow brother returns home
As he happily finds her in the night
The shadow boy is suddenly gone...

I like CoF, but a general observation I have, now that I've made punky/metally music with harsh vocals (which are still ultimately a melodic instrument), busy arrangements and generally high tempo (160-240 bpm), steady beats (d-beats, thrash beats, blastbeats) vs. making hip-hop with rhythmic vocals instead of melodic vocals, relatively minimalist arrangements and slower beats (70-90 bpm) with more of a push-pull feel is that busier music has too much going on to really make use of the rhyming scheme of the vocals mirroring the rhythm, or having as strong of interplay with a rhythmic component. Because there's little to no melodic component to a rapped vocal (ignoring vocalists who half-sing/half-rap as well as those who use auto-tune) the rhythm of the rhyming syllables is the main musical element.

Basically sung lines are like 'riffs'.
Rapped lines are like 'beats'.

As a result the effect I'm describing doesn't really show up with stuff that isn't minimalist and relatively slow like hip-hop. I'm not even sure if it would work with something that's slow-mid tempo and minimalist if it had too much of a straight 4/4 beat like house.

In a manner of speaking, yes and like auntblabby welcome aboard WrongPlanet

Welcome. If they are sleeping on a bed of ice then they have a waterbed.

If they are sleeping on a bed of ice then they are gonna end up on the floor, where they will be slipping and sliding rather than tossing and turning

Either that or they will not wake up, or if they do they will be unable to move :?

I'm on my way to see the movie Green Book, which won 3 Golden Globes last night (one was Best Picture-Comedy) and is also playing at a theater that is across the street from my school.
