My advice is, only watch to episode 17 of Neon Gen Eva. It's not worth going further, in my not so humble opinion.

If you really want to read Tokyo Babylon, go ahead. It's not as depressing as Neon Gen Eva, but the way the reveal in volume 10 just crushed me...

Sorry, I had a really bad time with it.

I honestly regret reading volume 10. Then I could pretend that the series didn't end the way it did.

Tokyo Babylon is, along with RG Veda and X/1999, the darkest of Clamp's series, for that volume alone.

Ok, I kind of have rhe cliffnotes version of evangelion anyway, and I think pretty much everyone dies probably? And then penguins. So it's probably not important. I may read tokyo babylon. That was finoshed right? I think X was never finished, but maybe tokyo babylon was. I do know that the plot of tokyo babylon is essentially that the main guy, Subaru right? Is a detective or something and he is on love with the villain. I don't think I ever did learn what the twist was, but at least I would go in knowing not to get my hopes up I suppose.

X was never finished, thanks to it being cancelled because of the excessive violence and gore.
Oh, the twist is about the true nature of the villain, which I won't spoil for you.

Ah, alright. I was never sure what happened with x, thought I heard it was still theoretically ongoing but on indefinite hiatus.

I smoke two joints in the morning , I smoke two joints at night , I smoke two joints in the afternoon , it makes me feel alright. I smoke two joints in time of peace and two in time of war , I smoke two joints before I smoke two joints and then I smoke two more.

There is an entire branch of theology called 'hamartiology' which is about the 'study of sins'. I wouldn't be too surprised if it severely lacking in terms of being compatible with current theories of mind, psychopathology, empathy et al. not that too many followers within the 'Abrahamic framework' aside from the academics who actually have something of a following whether through clerics or 'lay-ppl' would make it *accurately* catch on.
__

Toriyama is at his most authentic when doing 'Dr.Slump' but as with Hamill who to his questionable chagrin went to a intractable 'point of no return' after the fame of 'Star wars' and him being Luke Skywalker (almost(?)) typecast him, Toriyama can't be let to 'relax' with a goofy Japanese style take on childhood naiveness w/out going too long or far away from harassment about 'Dragonball' given it's media merchandise tie-in juggernaut status in spite of some majorly lackluster narratology et al. which hasn't really developed past what a series like that would have been doing in the 80's in contrast to say 'Full metal alchemist'.

-_- Coming from a guy who has always been the character designer for the 'Dragon *quest*' games since they started.

93% of dogs and 75 % of cats that go missing in the U.S. are returned safely, a study found.

"Filipino Time" isn't called "Filipino Time" for no reason.

Think some (foreign) NTs 'being not on time habits' are bad enough? Imagine it's the norm itself and acceptable.

Thinking back to a 'martial arts phase' I went through 'for all the wrong reasons'..

When it comes to self-defence, karate can be effective but (not the least b/c of the repertoire of moves) the learning curve is long. Western boxing has a much shorter learning curve but is majorly delimited by essentially being only 4 punches; a fair amount of the effectuality comes from individual commitment to rigorous exercise, sparring which results in the possible devastation it can induce.

I remember once reading how Muay Thai is probably one of the most effective in terms of 'dishing out' impact for possible self-defence* as far as *striking* styles go with Brazilian jiu-jitsu's popularity having been b/c of how effective it is as a grappling/'wrestling' style. Judo might not be espoused as often in a 'flashy way' like say boxing or karate might be in a movie but in terms of mere self-defence I Judo flip onto concrete can be effective.

:| Feeling shameful for a time period when I took out Krav Maga DVD's and told family not to be around b/c I was 'doing exercise'..kind of creeped out by how I trying to follow a fighting style which Palestinians might experience in confrontations with Israeli soldiers. When you think about it, it would make sense that whatever is taught to police or soldiers would be overtly impactful as I would like to think most law enforcement personnel are not interested in carrying out extended hand-to-hand fights but can still train in it, if they so choose.

That stupid =_= >_< instant where someone threatened me for their phone comes to my mind. How many become 'cocky' due to the mere fact of having worked out extensively enough to have reduced regard for being confrontational.

This is addictive to talk about et al.

*It helps if you don't only think of these fighting styles being used in competitive settings like w/the UFC and such.

If only movies had musical scores once again that made such theatrical presentations memorable
