I just read that using real Christmas trees is actually better for the environment than using an artificial one. I think you can guess which kind I use so that reading that would me unhappy. I think faux trees are lot less of a fire hazard though, and having my home burn down would be really bad for *my* environment.

I found out that my Community College approved a notion to lay off 210 professors and I'm worried for the theatre professors I had there since arts teachers are usually the first targets in school layoffs. :(

My past, and all the stupid things I did then, and the people who trigger memories of it.

At the grocery store, every single item that I rang up at the self-checkout screwed up. Scan the item and then "an attendant has been notified to assist you." Scan the item and then "an attendant has been notified to assist you." Scan the item and then "an attendant has been notified to assist you." Repeat, again and again and again and again and again and again. I can't believe I managed to avoid the urge to scream, punch someone, or run out of there.

Later, eating dinner while visiting my parents, my mom and sister found it appropriate to discuss all the times in the past that they embarrassed themselves by vomiting in front of others, and then my mom starts reading aloud horrible news stories from her iPad about people getting killed and set on fire. All this while the TV set in the living room is blasting at full volume and everyone is yelling their conversations. What the fck is wrong with my family?

My dad asked me why I always have to take such a heavy load not thinking of the fact that I don't like steep stairs. I swung the boxes of ginger ale onto the floor next to the microwave stand, to make a point of how strong I am. He asked, "How's CockneyRebel doing today?" I mumbled, "Fine." with a tone of annoyance while giving very little eye-contact.

You can come back to me when you know what it's like to have Gender Dysphoria, dad. I was thinking that, but I didn't say it.
