I dreamt I was piddling in my late father's sink, it flooded right away and water/pee splashed up on the shelf above which had a bar of soap on it which melted and ran down into the sink, and soon the water overflowed onto the floor a foot deep and I searched in vain for a towel large enough to soak it up, and made the mistake of opening the door whereupon the water rushed out onto the carpeted bedroom beyond. I quickly closed the door, then for some reason opened it again whereupon the water again rushed out, this time covering the floor and shorting out electrical objects, and I was thinking "how am I gonna fix this?!" when I awoke.

Uh... Okay. A pee dream, rare but not unheard of. But why were you going in the sink?

^^I dunno, it was in place of the toilet. anyways, I dreamt that my dad was still alive and we were watching a movie on the home theatre system, and there was an actor whose name escapes me who said my pet name I have for myself, and my dad laughed at that. then in another dream scene I was in my late mother's bedroom with some acquaintance not in real waking life, this person gestured and asked me what was under a drop cloth on my mother's dresser, and I looked down and saw her old compact stereo which I described to the guest, and I reached down and wiped some dust off of it and EUREKA! the dream became lucid at that point, I felt the grain of the wood and metal of the stereo module, I saw clearly in detail for the first time, the appearance of the dust, its fine grain and soft light grayness, and felt the dust under my fingers, and recognized that the movie character said my pet name was the signal. then the door opened and an a/c repairman came in the house and I showed him where the HVAC system was, then I awoke.

I was dreaming my sister and I were following our neighbor and her son {who will turning 5 in December, but that's beside the point}about the neighborhood. We followed her into a grocery store and we informed the manager that our neighbor was telling everybody off because her son was in a stroller. The dream then cut to another grocery store where we followed them around to the back of the store. An unidentified male teenager approached me and my sister and told us off for following our neighbor around. My sister told the d-bag teen to stop acting like a brat and to leave us alone. The teen obliged and left the grocery store. What we didn't realize was that we spoke to an older version of our neighbor's son.

I rather recently had a dream in which I was a young child [a baby, really], surrounded by my relatives, and I was laughing that nice laugh that babies have. It was one of the most lucid-like dreams I've had. My most recent remember-able dream was one in which I was playing Puck in a theatre production of A Midsummer's Night Dream. I had this skipping dancing routine, and various weird things happened [it was like no production of AMND I've ever seen!] At the end, since I was Puck, I had to give the ending soliloquy, but I didn't remember my lines at all. Not only that, I strolled non-nonchalantly on stage eating a sandwich, so I couldn't say anything anyway. It seemed to be a meat sandwich of some kind, but I changed it to almond butter or something similar. Then I sort of did a mental double take and wondered why I was eating a sandwich in the first place. I told the sandwich to go away, and it promptly vanished. Then I cheerfully said to the audience: "All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream." [I think that's from Edgar Allen Poe.] Then I merrily skipped and danced off stage as the curtain went down.

In a dream you quoted Poe talking about life being "a dream within a dream"?

That's interesting.

Kinda awesome actually.

^It was the only thing that came to mind as I was standing there staring out at the audience [who seemed more like flickering candle lights than anything--a faery audience?]

slept for over 10 hours due to exhausting Saturday. had a mishmash of dreams, starting with one where I was driving one of my late father's old trucks towing my present-day tin can [i.e. my living trailer, very improbably, but anything is possible in dreamland], and the tongue [metal arm sticking out from the trailer for towing] kept disconnecting from the hitch as I was climbing a steep hill, and the tin can would bounce and careen backwards until it got mired in a patch of sand on the side of the road in a clearing. I drove back and hooked back up and tried it again 3 times before wailing in despair, when my dad came back from the dead and sold me to stop trying to climb that damned hill, to take a downhill route instead. I looked inside my tin can to find everything dumped out and askew, but amazingly the tv set still worked. so instead of taking a different route I just started living in that sand patch and making the best of it.

then I dreamt me and a bunch of people were in an operating room scrubbing for a c-section, only it was set up like a party with a motor home in there and a cheering section who was helping my assistant scrub, rubbing his back and cheering him on, and I felt miffed that I was not getting similar love. also there was a dream where I was back in high school at my present age with my old classmates at their age they were then, and I was supposed to be performing with the marching band but I couldn't find my tuba, I looked for it all over the place in this weird auditorium that was a cross between an indoor football field and a spare tire the size of a blimp. students' instruments and sheet music was scattered all over the place, with chairs and music stands here and there, with students standing around like they were in a daze. I asked various students what happened to my tuba, and nobody would answer me, or they would say things to me that were impertinent.

Sorry, I guess it is that too. I just try not to look at the bad side of things.

Me too! It helps me keep sane. Otherwise I would probably be in a straight jacket by now, sitting in the corner crying my eyes out... :(
