How the toys at target are so gendered. Boys should play with Legos and girls should play with pink stuffed animals. Well I don't care what messages society gives and I will play with pink things if I want to.

Up till yesterday I was hoping to go to the flea market today, which has a lot of cool stuff. Then it all got ruined. I instead spent today babysitting 4 troublesome kids. I also got a stomachache earlier as well.

I've had this stinking cold since Sunday and it's refusing to shift.

I can't have good coffee at home because my espresso machine has become disgusting.

Putting up with Christmas Eve. Having to deal with my extended family. They didn't say anything mean this time but I just found being around them exhausting. All they ever talk about is tennis. At least they liked the presents I got them.

But the worst part was the very heavy traffic. Having to drive across half the town and miles of packed country road through the winding hills while Grandpa yells at me about how late we are because I got the times mixed up when my insurance expired last month and my brake pads are worn out. I almost crashed every five minutes and when that happens Mum screams and that makes it harder for me to concentrate.

Merry Christmas, RetroGamer.

But now I'm going to be a pain in the butt:

My buddy.....you do have to get the insurance up to date. Now that you've got a job. I would cost less to get it up to date than the tickets that you might receive.

Here in NYC, they'll give you a ticket if your registration is ONE DAY LATE.

And fix those brake pads! I don't want to read your obituary, sir!

Otherwise, Merry Christmas, my friend!

How can it be so cold in the middle of summer? I went to a BBQ tonight at my Dad's house. Normally I don't mind night time winter BBQs because I can dress warmly for them but because I expected it to be a typical summer night I wore a T-shirt and vest instead of warm clothing.

A Merry Christmas to you Kraftie.

I'm not going to get a ticket. I renewed my registration a few weeks ago, that covers my compulsory insurance. I just meant my non-compulsory insurance had expired. I'm covered if I injure someone but not if I damage their car.

I know I'm supposed to have a well paying job but the job hasn't started yet and neither has the pay. I got paid at a lesser but still decent rate during the assessment but I've spent that money now (much of it on new tires) and since I'm going from a contract in November to a position in January that means I'm currently unemployed (and unpaid). I get a month's paid leave every year so any other year I could take December off with pay but this year I'm not getting paid for December.

Also, don't worry, I didn't drive around for ages with worn brakes, they showed no sign of problem until yesterday morning when they started making grinding noises (and occasionally locking up the wheels). The car can still stop. If you want to blame me for something blame, for driving around on worn tires for months instead. What little money I have will have to go on the electricity bill and the phone bill so I can't fix anything until late January.

I think I'll pull though but still, I'm touched by your concern.
