A glass of Sainsbury's Vintage English Cider (7.4%, something like that), with my ugly bonce. Good, proper English real swally!

Hmmm....3 x 75cl bottles for £5. Worth a punt? What's it like? I don't like most English cider - too 'farty' for me. But Sainsbury's is usually reliable.

My mum said that about the three bottles for a fiver!

If you like real cider, and it's strong enough, go with it. Tastes and feels much like a strong Thatcher's cider like the 7.4% Katy version. In fact, it's probably from the same cidery.

Went to my local used book store and finally found a copy of The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress by Robert Heinlein. It cost only $1.29, whereas if I had bought it through Amazon it would have cost me $4.00 (total, cost plus "shipping"), so I saved $2.71 and now have a classic science fiction novel to read during the hours that I'm not working for the next couple of weeks.

I go to my nearest Sainsbury's on a Friday night when the local students are busy elsewhere and it's far less hectic. I'll pick some up. Meanwhile, tonight it's Sailor Jerry. Neat. No ice.

If I was drinking the auld whuskey, it wouldn't be Sailor Jerry or anything that might sound a bit effeminate. I'd be going for Laphroaig, or Ardbeg. Proper drum-banging stuff. ;)

Oh I agree. I'm partial to a Corryvreckan myself. But SJ's a rum and a nice sippin' one.
