I am so glad I found thrifting as a hobby; it saves me money, and it's good for the enviroment!

Well, during my time in Hawaii, I found quite a few things! Like a Portland Winterhawks jersey, an old Mark McGuire St. Louis Cardinals jersey, even Charlie Brown's shirt! Gonna do it more back in Seattle Friday, if I can.....

Who here has been to a thrift store lately? This thread is getting monotonous with me only posting!

I'm planning on going to a thrift store soon :3

I've heard the "rich" places in LA have good finds to be had...

I love thrift stores! I never seem to have much luck with clothes from them though, mostly because the stores in my town sort by color instead of size, so it takes forever to find anything to try on and I usually give up before I get through all of the colors. My favorite thrift store closed a few years ago, but I used to find a lot of good clothes there. Now I mostly buy books and the occasional random item.

About three weeks ago, I found a Wacom Intuos 3 at Goodwill in excellent condition. I had to replace the stylus, but that didn't really put a damper on my spirits.

Spent $10 on the tablet itself, and spent $50 on a replacement stylus. Totally worth it. :D

Lucky you, Makayla.

I love shopping at thrift stores and cheaper flea markets (both indoor and outdoor)! I have found some things that were actually quite valuable (at least to me), and that i made some decent profit from. In the past I have bought some items, found an item in it, and sold the item i found in it for a profit. Examples:

Old fashioned men's coin purse-inside: silk handkerchief and four morgan silver dollars
superman velcro wallet-inside-one hundred twenty-three dollars
box of books (paid 20) and ended up selling three of them for over 80 on the internet

Those are just the rare examples. I also found a three piece suit I later had looked at to see if it was the real McCoy, and it was a Perry Ellis.

Went on another Value Village trek, got a powder blue shirt for $1.50 (discounted from $3).

Today was the first day I went to Goodwill Ballard. Wow, the place is huge. I wasn't buying anything. I just went to recycle some old TV and computer parts.
