Just finished eating some really good pizza at that NY pizza place that encourages people to write all over their walls.

Now at the place that's beach on one side and woods on the other.

I feel kind of depressed today. That life is pointless type feeling.

I’m envious that you have this pizza and the beach/woods scenery.

But I used to get that sort of depression when I was almost 18.

The tide is low enough to get under the pier, but the part where I took that picture is under water. It's interesting that if I stand here long enough I'll drownd because of the tide coming in. Or maybe it's going out. Hard to tell. Looks like there's a ship docked at the pier.

I don't think clams have pearls. But there are oysters here too. I hope you have at least one good NY pizza joint where you are haha. I feel very lucky living here. Especially after living in the desert.

Do you ever dig clams? We used to get clams and sometimes geoducks when we lived in Seattle in the 1980s... and on rare occasion went oystering over on the Olympic peninsula.

I've also waded out for Dungeness crab at - wait for it - Dungeness!

There used to be many more great NYC pizza joints in the old days. But it’s not totally obsolete, yet.

Woof getting too hot out. Time for the cool shade of the woods. My phone says it's only 74 but feels hotter than that to me. Almost stepped on a huge slug.

Home at last. My heart wasn't really in it today.

Have never dug clams or seen anyone else doing it. I remember one day when the tide was way out geoducks were squirting water as I walked by.

I watched a video of well known pizza joint in NY where they reviewed the pizza. The place I go to looks like it has the same kind. I'm guessing the owner is from NY or carefully copied their methods.

The slice on the left is the kind I always get v

They said on the video I watched the "charring" was intentional. But it seems to me the last few slices I've had weren't like that, which is fine by me.

The one at the left in the bottom picture is called a “Sicilian.”

Where I live now they tend to hide the pepperoni under the cheese! Its a crime. Pepperoni should be like in the photos, on top of the cheese and curling up on the edges.

Guess they don't understand that a topping is supposed to go on top.
