I just think it is cool and it beats most other aliens infact it uses them for sport, I have even managed to teach myself to make a sound simular to there clicking noise.
But realy they are both cool.

Grunts
Brutes
Elites
I'm wearing a Halo 3 shirt with a Brute on it right now. My favorite alien, of course, is the arbiter who is of Elite race.

I forgot to add Hunters and Jackles. All of my favorite aliens are from Halo 3.

Well a lot of those names that humans just give nicknames to, here are some of there names.
Grunts: Unggoy
Brutes: Jiralhanae
Elites: Sangheili
Hunters: Lekgolo
Jackels: Kig-Yar
I have found myself in game refering each by there more scientific name. Elites are interesting as they are known have a lot of civil wars, as they just like fighting, they were big enemies to the prophets (San 'Shyuum), but they then were the first to join and were quite happy that they could just concentrate on military. Elites have very strong belief in chain of comand but at the same time are loyal to those below them. In the novel the flood a bunch of Grunt decide to use getting an injured Sangheili off the Autumn as an excuse for getting off, when the Unggoy leader gets told that the elite he ran away with want to talk to him. He thinks he is in trouble for running away but the Elite sees it as a good thing and as a favour for saving him gets the cowardice grunt transfered from his sleepy team to the Elites frontline team with the special mission of finding Master Chief on the Halo.
