Well, there's quite a few reasons for this one, actually...

1. I'm pretty sure my current special interest is Pokemon, so I instantly thought of my all-time favorite Pokemon character, Grovyle from the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series.

2. I now just recently got a Treecko out of the GTS on my Pokemon: Y game, and I plan on breeding it a little bit later today; I also plan on training both a Sceptile and Grovyle.

3. I've been in a bit of a PMD2 mood lately, and have been tempted to restart one of my games, (yes, I own multiple copies).

Grovyle's always inspired me to do better, and continues to be my favorite fictional hero alongside Discord, (my favorite fictional villain).

Dragons are my special interest. So a dragon serves as my avatar.

I love dragons they are beautiful and awesome so I looked and found this really cool red one.

Well, as a steam engine fan, it's only natural for my avatar to be a steam locomotive to reflect my interest.

Mine is a hastily cobbled-together collage of some of my favorite fictional characters.

I chose these particular characters because I find their designs to be very unique and pleasing to the eye, and I like their personalities based on what little information is available about them. You see, they're actually very minor characters in their respective franchises, and they don't even get that much love from said franchises' fanbases. My brother has joked about my affinity for minor characters, saying that I "don't like the main characters because they're too mainstream". I guess I must be some kind of fangirl hipster then?

^ I love them all. They reflect what you like well, as much as mine reflects me.

I guess I wasn't the only one to think of discussing avatars.
