It's an expression used to accentuate the clipped or almost silent soft "R" inherant in the accent of people native to the upper northeastern part of the US known as New England.
More Properly, Harvard Yard is the central Pedestrian Plaza of Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass. Which in turn is essentially a part of the Boston Metro area.

Edit: I went back and re-listened to it and got it all! I think I was looking for a punch line with the 'parked the car' thing, and couldn't find one and got confused!
