I'm not fussy when it comes to pressure, but I am asthmatic so not too much pressure  .

I thought blood pressure cuffs were pretty cool when I was a kid. One of the daycares where I was stuck for a little while had one that was fun to play with. Haven't thought about them too much lately. I definitely prefer the old fashioned ones that were inflated with a little bulb and read pressure out on a gauge though. The newer automated ones are no fun :(.

The automated ones freak me out. I went to see an optometrist to get contact lenses and they used an automated one to check my BP. I hate the sensation. Mind you I do like pressure just not from that kind of machine. I prefer the old fashioned ones.

The manual ones have much better bedside manner :P. Why would an optometrist need to check your blood pressure?

Thats what I thought! It was weird to have my BP checked but what the hell I was paying out of pocket for that appointment. I did get to see a photo of my retina which was awesome.

The automatic ones dont seem to get tight enough for me....

I definitely prefer the manual ones, a lot of doctors here still use them since the auto's can sometimes be prone to innacuracies.

Hey, have you ever heard of Medical Anti-Shock Trousers or MAST?

They encompass your entire lower body (Legs and Abdomen)!

:D :D

dude, there's already a device that does that. I remember seeing a pic of a girl in some kind of bed, she had this thing like a bedsheet but made of latex (I think), and she was airtight in there. Oh yeah BTW I think this was for some kind of S&M thing

Did you check the inflatable ones in one of the links? From what I read they seem to apply pressure to the body

*goes back and reads again*

DAMMIT!! !! !! THEY ESSENTIALLY STOLE MY IDEA!! !! ! STOLE IT!! ! STOLE IT!! !! STOLE IT!! !! !

But they still havent made them of the trademark rubberized nylon that blood pressure cuffs are made of... nor did they do neoprene.

i must get to work and make a rubberized nylon ./ neoprene version :P

still the ones in the picture look like they might be difficult to get into.
