My UPS isn't holding power & the display lights are flashing & diagnostic says the battery is discharged. I think I'm going to try replacing the battery because it's alot cheaper than buying a new UPS but it will still cost me about a $150 to $200 not counting shipping.

This morning there were two dirty, stinky people (probably no shower for months) on the train. The smell was so strong that I felt sick in the stomach for about two hours after that. One of them was "what-are-you-looking-at" kind of person (aggressive).

Ever since 6 this morning I have felt terrible. My body is aching everywhere and I had terrible No. 3 earlier. I now also have that chill that happens when I am sick. I don't want it to ruin my trip to Universal tomorrow.

I slept horribly last night, kept waking up and sweatted like crazy. When I finally gave up on trying to sleep around noon, I felt really achy and tired. I took some generic cold medicine which helped with the pain, but they must have mixed up the day and night tablets because I felt SUPER drowsy, like I took a bunch of benedryl. There was stuff I wanted to do today too, like walk to the store and buy pop.

I drove to the grocery store today, when I tried to leave my ignition wouldn't start so now it's going to sit in that lot for a few days. Had to ride a bus back to my apartment. What a terrible time of the year to be without a car, especially in the frozen hellscape that Iowa is. I wont get financial aid for another 4 weeks from uni so hopefully it's something small or I'll be without a car for a while.

It's 38 degrees Celsius and my air conditioner decided to become an indoor fountain.

The other I was on the website ALS (Awful Library Books), and their book of the day was one of those "pray the gay away" pieces of fiction (and it IS fiction) telling you how to heal homosexuality with God and whatever. I commented "The really sad thing is that there are still a lot of people who believe in this". Now shouldn't I have known better to express my beliefs on the subject when it attracts homophobic Bible-thumpers like ants to a half-melted Mars bar? I guess I thought was safe from that kind of thing on that website. Someone replied that the reason many people believe in it is because it's true and that the book was really good and that people can and do become "ex-gay". *sighs heavily*
I didn't reply, but there was already a nice long thread of "intellectual" debate over the topic. I'm reminded once again why the human race is going to the hounds.

Yesterday I really struggled. I am hoping I do not repeat it today.
