I lost the game.

Something beautiful I saw once:
I was sitting on a front porch at night in a city neighborhood. There was a street lamp right in front and it was shining down on a small tree with small oval yellow leaves. It was Autumn. Anyway a breeze came up and gusted the tree and a bunch of these little leaves fell off. As they were falling they twisted and turned and the light from the street light would catch one side but not the other so they looked like they were falling in jerky slow motion.
I don't know what I'd do with out the random thoughts thread.

sometimes i feel like killing myself but i wont, to many thing i have not done.

I went bushwalking yesterday and got bitten by a Tick!
It attached itself to my throat, right over my adam's apple!
I noticed I was scratching my throat on the trip home,
but it wasn't until six hours later that it finally bugged me enough that I went and tried to examine what it was in a mirror. It was difficult to see from that angle, I thought it was a thorn or some kind of prickle. I finally realized it was a Tick after I had yanked it out and examined it minutely on the end of my finger.
It was Tiny! Less then 0.5 of a millimeter!
By this time I had a Mosquito bite sized lump on my throat.
I'm amazed such a tiny creature could inject such an amount of toxin into me to cause that reaction!
Today the lump is a bit less than an inch wide and very sensitive.

I think I picked it up when I was crouched down for about five minutes trying to dig out a tiny little yellow flowered plant that I think I have identified as Hypoxis hygrometrica, Golden Weather Glass, which is actually a bulb in the Asparagus Family.
No wonder I couldn't dig it up with the little stick I grabbed, the bulb could have been
inches deep underground.

Anyway, from now on I'm adding Mosquito repellent (which I Utterly Abhor! )
and a small hand shovel to my bushwalking equipment.

i have just woken up and i went outside to look at the day.
the skies are blue and the sun is bathing the trees and flowers in a shiny golden dapple. there is a slight balmy breeze that wafts around me, and the temperature is 22C.
there are bees busy pollinating the flowers of all colors, and there are many types of birds tweeting.

it is totally unacceptable so i am going straight back to bed.

it is cold here today.
