What do Aspies do at social gatherings, say at a meet up, with pizza, beer or whatever? Being a spectrum I'm sure there's a gamut of difference.

What difference would there be in a atypical vs. a typical gathering, if it could be characterized?

Special interests dominate the conversation?

I wouldn't mind meeting you deadinhead. If I'm anywhere near Sligo next year I'll be sure to look you up beforehand.

Didn't realise you were a woman either - thought you were a bloke. :)

What's the best airport to fly to for Sligo? Londonderry is still quite a way from Sligo, and Belfast is even further. Galway?

All you English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh Peoples are lucky you don't have to go far to visit one another.

I have some cousins on Isle of Wight and in Southhampton and London, probably other places now too, I'd like to visit.

Well, yes, but just under 77% of the population of the British Isles (that's the UK plus the Republic of Ireland) lives in England. England is by far the most densely populated part of these islands - they don't really cal it the 'Celtic Fringe' for nothing. It's quite easy for me to fly to Northern Ireland from Lancashire but I wouldn't necessarily want to drive all the way around England, say.

Ooo... I would love to drive all the way around England, especially in B9's swift and smooth-ass Mercedes. :D

Of course, B9 is in Australia and I'm not so sure how fast you all can drive around there on those roads, but it would be nice I think to see the coast of the country and all the places along the way. :)

70 is the limit on motorways.
It's a great country, rurally more than anything.

It depends on the road you're travelling on. We have motorways (like freeways), A-roads, B-roads and then of course the more minor roads, all with their different speed limits as you would expect.

Outside the cities and the large town centres (and the housing estates!) the UK is still quite rural, especially in northern England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
