Yeah same! If you operate a restaurant and you're not feeding people 100% organic, sustainably sourced, whole foods made consciously with love, then why are you able to make a profit in this world? :skull:

Video gamers being ableist and homophobic to their teammates before a game even starts, and without provocation, just shows how insecure, bitter, useless and cowardly they really are. Assburgers, sounds like something they eat

One of the managing ladies at this place we're staying at scolded my mom for leaving me alone because I have autism. 8O

I rarely play online games because that behaviour is so annoying. Half those people are adults so it's even more annoying seeing/hearing grown people act like 12 year olds.

Imagine when she finds out there's folks with autism living independently. 8O

My mom had to explain that my traits are probably closer to Asperger's than classic autism and that I am capable of being by myself. The lady kept questioning her after that, but I get it because we're at a place were people probably don't have the best habits and leave their toddlers and special need kids alone for hours all the time. It's kind of her job to question my mom about this stuff to make sure she's not lying.

He was very strange, I mean even if I or my boyfriend had said or done something, it would be too far, but we didn’t and had never even encountered him before. He had looked on my friends profile and seen that he had AS (as stated on my boyfriend’s profile) and that he was with a man (me) so he started being abusive. We just reported him and moved on. Not gonna let weirdos like that ruin it for us

I'm glad I'm more old-skwel & only ever play games by myself unless me & my girlfriend are playing games together sitting next to each other on the couch. Otherwise I just play by myself when I can & want to play. Having to play with others online or at certain times is NOT for me.

IDK where you live but where I'm from there is aLOT of negative stigma & stereotypes about us autistics & even the so-called experts think of autism as being a less sever form of mental retardation. When I was a toddler my mom asked our GP about me being autistic & he laughed & said "Nick's just being Nick". I was referred for autism testing by my psychiatrist when I had a mental breakdown at 20 over my 1st relationship ending. After my testing I was told that I communicated too well verbally & seemed too intelligent to have anything on the autism spectrum. I was told that I had Aspergers but it was due to Schizoid Personality Disorder & had nothing to do with the autism spectrum :wall:  My psychiatrist had gotten me put on a waiting list for autism services before I had my testing & when I was finally ready to possibly qualify for some help 5 years later, I had to go through an assessment & they were hung up on the fact that I had a high-school diploma from a college prep school. I only managed to graduate high-school because my grades were curved in a 5th of my classes so I would pass. Then the assessor got hung up on me not having an official diagnoses from someone qualified to test. They shoulda looked into that before they 1st put me on the waiting list. I was told that I would have to get tested & that the report had to specifically state that I had autism instead of just saying something like having Aspergers, autism spectrum had to be mentioned. The organization would not of paid for my testing & it cost my parents a couple thousand dollars when I was tested at 20 because they would not accept the state Medicaid due to it not paying them enough & my private health insurance did not cover mental. Plus the organization I was trying to receive help & supports from very likely woulda had me jump through even more convoluted hoops if by some miracle I woulda actually gotten an official autism diagnoses after paying another couple thousand to be tested again so me & mom decided we woulda been flushing that money down the toilet by pursing testing. About the only mental health professionals I can & want to deal with are psychiatrists because I can guide my treatment & get meds from them. I have been on lots of psych meds in the past & I started having better luck with my psych treatment after I started taking a very proactive role with my treatment. I have a much better understanding of what my root issues are & I research lots of meds & have much better luck now that I guide them into the direction I want to try. I tried counseling before & that quack also thought I had SPD instead of autism. I kept getting told that I just needed to put myself out there more. I complained about being single & lonely aLOT on the forums I used & on one of em before I joined WP somebody suggested that I should put myself out there more & try to meet & approach women more. & someone who followed my posts more said that was not Nick's problem, if anything Nick is trying way too hard & is coming off way too strong & is seen as as too desperate, too needy, & a creep which pushes people away. I needed guidance & direction on how to make better impressions & how to find & achieve more gainful employment instead of just being told that I should put myself out there more. I trust psychs & docs about as far as I can throw them. I would only see a doc about 1ce a year if I was allowed to prescribe my own meds & I'd bet I know more about them than the docs & psychs do. There's very little to gain by me mentioning autism to anybody offline unless they are my girlfriend & her family. One of her brothers has been diagnosed with Aspergers since he was little & my girlfriend has lots of overlapping issues as well.

My mom mentioned it and I'm pretty sure they assumed that autism meant I was mentally disabled or something. I thought it was apparent that I wasn't, but I guess not. I haven't talked much to anyone and I heavily avoid eye contact, since I'm way too stressed out to properly interact with people right now.
