there was a story on the news a few minutes ago about some australian racing car driver who won a race in europe somewhere. apparently only one australian has ever won that type of race before (jack brabham).

supposedly it is a very significant occurrence because the reporter said "he has joined 'jack brabham' in being the only australian to ever have won that race".

so i take it that both he and "jack brabham" are the only australian to ever win that race.

what a blindspot of logic.

my girlfriend is not impressed with me at the moment.
about 3 weeks ago when she came over, she gave me a high quality printout of a picture of her trophy cabinet that contains medals and things.
she asked me where i was going to put it because she did not want it to get damaged or bent. i told her that i would certainly take good care of it and i had a very good place in mind where to put it.

last night when she came over, she suddenly decided that she wanted to look at that picture and asked me to get it for her, but i have no idea where it is.
i looked for it for a few minutes, but i became boggle brained thinking of the myriads of places i may have put it, and so i told her i would look for it today.

she rang me at 5 pm this afternoon and asked whether i had found it, and i had to tell her that i have not yet found it. (i think it went out with the garbage a few weeks ago (just quietly) and i am going to have to wear a helmet when i tell her).

what a hassle.
i can not think of a plausible excuse as to why i no longer have it,

can you pay for another print to be made?

Barb just came into the clubhouse computer room, to say that The Clash were on the radio. I told her, that I was listening to The Kinks. It's great to feel like myself, again. :)

Yes, I've changed my avatar to another book cover of something that I've read..Honestly, I've tend to read a great deal of books mostly fantasy/sci-fi/horror though, I've read a great deal more than just my main key interests.Anyways, like the picture in the avatar it is somewhat similar to my aunt Hazel's house from many a time ago..
Oh, I'm glad to hear Aimless that your doing well if you happen to come across this message if not don't worry..

I admittedly posted in the "Which WP members would you like to meet?" thread a couple times, but I have now changed my mind. I will no longer post in that thread or even read it.

Every year my town has a festival to celebrate all the different cultures here. They have food booths and crafts and singing and dancing exhibitions. The show stoppers were a large group of people from Burundi. They rocked. I love traditional African songs because of the lovely harmonies. I ran into Binto and her husband Valentin, who used to be my neighbors. They were both raised from early childhood in refugee camps in Kenya but were born in Somalia. They just had twins. It was nice to see them again.
