I'm really considering a punching bag. Have it in that one corner...

But the question is -- how loud could it be?
This means not allowed past usual scheduled bedtimes.

Not that loud, but loud enough to bother people nearby trying to sleep (that'd also depend on how hard you hit). You can always just practice techniques with very light strikes when noise needs to be kept to a minimum and hit harder when noise isn't a bother. I've never been a fan of that one as you fight how you train (always giving that 100% means you will when it counts); that's just me though, but training with light strikes will be better than nothing, and it's also exercise all the same. You just make sure to go hard when permitted so you have memory there.

On that note, I don't practice H2H much anymore.

What you don't understand, make into a monster.
Then there's zero accountability.
Kind of like what Hitler did with the Jews?

You're not winning me, mate. :(

It's not so much not understanding, that would be ignorance, indifference or being oblivious.
It that the 1930's German populace thought they understood all too well, they had very definite ideas.
It was racially, religious, and socio-economic, driven. Centuries of historical developments in the making.

Demonization of the out-group is a psychological mechanism that dates back to the stone age. It's tribal. And it's likely encoded in the genes. It's that much a part of out evolutionary development. Close knit tribal allegiance, the psychological dynamics of that were essential for survival, for hundreds of thousand years, if not going back millions, going back to our primordial ancestors.

I say all this, because I'm a History buff. I know alot about WW2. :) :P

Matrix Glitch,

The 110 was my first real pocket knife outside of typical Victorinox stuff. It turned them into an interest, as having something quite robust but easy to carry caught my interest there. Not a fixed blade, but still strong enough for most things. I have a small collection of folding knives that I've picked up over the years solely for collecting that I don't use, and 1 of my 3 110s is there; that collection is folding knives I really like (regardless of collector's value). I like the 120, though they cost far too much for what you get where I live. A typical Ka-Bar fighting utility knife will be 1/2 the cost. Of course, this is for use rather than collecting, where value is many times subjective.

I wear a Buck cap when in the sun.

I've always got some type of knife on me that falls within the laws of the land, even if just a Victorinox. Being able to cut cordage is important to me.

My presence doesn't seem to bother birds for some reason. I'm one of those hermit bird people apparently.

160 officers resigned from the Portland Police Bureau in 2020 citing three main reasons, the reasons being stereotyped by citizens, strict reporting requirements, and incompetent leadership of the PPB.

I guess I don't really need to bother with H2H training as it's fairly simple and you remember it well enough (they learnt a lot lessons from WW2 in that regard). My gammy right hand is a positive or negative depending on the situation. Which reminds me that I forgot to take my medication for that one.

I've slept with a knife under my pillow for the majority of my life, which is probably sad there. A Cold Steel Kobun has been there several years now (thin and sheathe has decent retention; long enough blade length).

I probably should try to remove it from under my pillow there and put it out of reach. Therapy.

When my dad passed away back around 1990, I inhabited a Case Mako knife and a K-Bar type knife. I have no idea what became of them. I used to have a Victorinox single blade folding knife with about a 4" blade. I have no idea where it disappeared to. I still have a small Victorinox and a small Wenger Swiss army knife.

I've had several knock off knifes over the years, probably all made in Pakistan.

Something odd with me is that while I'm a broken mess and also disabled in a few ways, I can do most things well enough when I'm by myself. Sometimes quite well and as good or better than professionals. That mess and disability makes me fail around others, even when doing things I'd be adapt at if I were alone. I couldn't explain it, and neither could the professionals. I eventually realized why, and so did the more astute psychiatrist that had some experience there.

I just like working alone in the end.
