If there is any of you that have experienced severe physical pain, for example a slipped disk in the back or something on that level of pain. Does the physical pain lessen the emotional pain (I'm thinking mainly about anxiety)? Does it in any way overshadow it?

I've had severe toothache.

I much prefer anxiety.

Well in a way that is good news to me. Why? Because I haven't experienced much pshysical pain in my life so far (I know I'm very lucky in that sense), but there is little doubt that I will get problems with my back and or neck at some point sooner or later. And then as I worry about it, thinking that it at least might "take over" for some of the emotional pain does give a little comfort.
