There are those that are actually unable to get a driver's license for whatever reason, and have to use public transport to get around if there's nobody else to drive them. I'm sure there are some on this very site. I don't think they are losers.

Thankfully our public transport here is nice. It's the bus stops where most of the rude people congregate.

I understand what you mean.

When I say "losers", it could mean two different groups of people:
1. contemptible trash that causes trouble
2. innocent people that end up suffering

The kind of people that you mentioned belong to the latter group. And in fact I am one of those people. That's why I put that post in the "Unhappy" thread. I implied that in that post.

And I agree that the trash often congregates around the bus stops and train stations. It's an everyday thing for me.

A TV show I'm following is noisy and loud with lots of audience noise and the presenters have shrill voices. I want to keep following the show but the shrillness of it tonight drove me crazy. I had to mute the sound several times.

I've played around with the audio settings but nothing makes it sound better. I can't take out too much treble because then I can't hear the speech properly, as I have problems actually hearing and understanding, when something is too mid-range and bassy. I can't win.

I rely on closed captioning. What you refer to is like an assault on the ears.

It really did feel like an assault on my ears, yes.

Closed captioning is a good idea; I think I'll employ that from now on.

I have to go to a party today. I had a literal nightmare about it, so now I'm really dreading it. :pale:

Some people were made redundant at work today. They have worked for this company for many years (maybe 20 years or so). The management should've instead got rid of useless people from the management that make far more money for doing little. I actually wouldn't have minded being retrenched as I'd rather leave this shít company with some extra money. I hope it will go bankrupt soon.

Noooooo, that's how my last phone died. RIP Phoney. How is it?

I spent three hours walking around yesterday and five hours walking around today and my back is still not content with my level of activeness. I need a small child who I can hire to walk on my back.
