I have a few unwanted pets in my apartment, running around. I'm going to get more mouse pads as soon as I have the money. That should take care of that problem.

Apparently, you cant split an infinitive in Spanish, even if you tried.

The infinitive of 'go' in English is "to go". In Spanish it's "var".

The most famous case of getting away with splitting an infinitive in English is the intro to the original Star Trek show.

"To go boldly where no man has gone before". As opposed to "to boldy go where no man has gone before".

In Spanish it would be "var boldly" (whatever the Spanish word for "boldly" is). Var is "to go" in one single word, so it cant be split. And the adjectives and adverbs come after the noun/verb they describe in Spanish, rather than before the modified word as in English. So you would have no choice but to say "var boldly", and it would not split the infinitive.

I've been able to improve my coordination and muscle strength/endurance a lot over the past few months. The fact that I'm able to do a lot of things that I was never able to do before makes me really happy.

"var" is not Spanish for to go.

To go would be generlly "ir." There are other words, but no var.

I get the point about the split infinitive. I've read that even English grammarians are moving away from that rule and some of the others based on Latin.
