I can't stand the sound of people eating a banana

It is the single most disgusting sound I've ever heard

It makes me want to throw my shoes at them...but I won't obviously

It's so bad that I won't allow them in the house

My daughter has to buy them from the co-op on her way to work so she can eat them there

My mum hated people eating a banana near her. I have misophonia but one thing that doesn't seem to bother me much is the sound of people chewing, as I can't really hear it anyway. However I do feel mildly irritated when my aunt crunches crisps while on the phone to me.

Another pet peeve: When I get a notification while listening to an audiobook to go to sleep to and it stops the audiobook. It doesn't always do this but sometimes it does, like it glitches out or something.

People who don't signal lane changes.

People who think they can trundle along at 55 in an 80.

People who both drive below the speed limit and attempt to block when you pass them.

Crap about covid (fearmongering).

The first variant is very catching, watch out!
The second variant is even more catching.
The third variant is even more catching.
The fourth variant is EVEN MORE catching.
The fifth variant is EVEN MORE catching.
...
The tenth variant is EVEN MORE catching.

Blimey, how even more catching can this get from the first time around? Maybe you catch it if you're within a mile from anyone with it.

Daft.

I think it's easy to take the good aspects of the present for granted.

Like, it would be much harder to feel free to be gender-non-conforming back in the not-so-good ol' days.

I'm glad to live in a world where that doesn't lead to one being put in a mental home or in prison, which was a common outcome in the not-so-good ol' days. Especially for people who weren't wealthy.

I guess I was having a hippie moment when I was posting that. There are good things about the present that I sometimes forget about. It's hard to remember them when Top 40 and and the latest and hottest TV shows don't do anything for me.

I know what you're saying about current entertainment, it's definitely not my cup of tea either. I'm glad underground entertainment is so much larger and more accessible than it used to be though, at least it means there's an alternative to the corporate slop.

The trope of the good ol' days is a bit of a pet peeve of mine, so I like to remind folks that there's plenty good about our time period too, even if it's easier to take it for granted and forget about it.

There's plenty to criticize about right now, but there's plenty to praise too. People sometimes get so fixated on the negative that they lose sight of all that's positive. It's more complicated than black or white, although with autism it's hard to fault someone for being prone to black and white thinking given that it's one of the traits associated with autism.

When I'm trying to complete a quiz on Jetpunk on my phone and sh***y ads keep making the keypad disappear.

"me me me me me and if you don't subsidise my life style and pay my energy bills then I'm gonna go and vote for Nigel Farage"

This is what peeves me every time I put the news or any politics show or panel show these days

I hate that children are medicated with controlled drugs in order to modify their behaviour

We used to literally terrorise the neighbourhood and we were "normal" drugs free children

I have some certain things that should always be found in one and only one place.

For example, I have some small potholders that are rather small for taking large pots and pans and baking sheets out of the oven but they are perfect for the rare time you need to take something out of the microwave. For example, if you microwave some bacon, they are fine while the bigger, thicker potholders are overdoing it a bit.

I always keep them on top of the microwave.

For the first time ever, someone took them last night and put them elsewhere. It took me about 15 minutes to find them and put them back in the right place. If it happens again, I'll start hiding them so that I'm the only one who knows where to find them.

And

"All of our problems will be solved if they stopped the boats! Vote Farage!"
When will people learn?
