yep....

A lot of people sem to like things that I either don't have time for, or just don't like. Or both. I like to watch games being played, but they're probably one's you've never heard of, because people don't ever talk about them.

It's OK, the only games I know a decent amount about are Guitar Hero, Portal, and Portal 2. Other than that, I don't know much about other games.

Science Olympiad this year was a complete lie. It's nothing more than a ploy by several Indian parents of kids in the Class of 2014 to get their kids an accomplishment or two to put on their college applications two years later. They eliminated almost all the seniors from the team, including me, because they don't have to worry about applying to college anymore, and they put their own kids on the States team instead. Oh, they didn't put me on the team because they didn't want me on the team, especially not since I got into the college of my (and their) dreams. So while those poor Indian kids (most of whom want to be business and economics majors as opposed to majoring in any of the sciences) are stuck studying their butts off for Science Olympiad, the seniors who stayed in Science Olympiad for the whole 4 years, who actually love to do Science for the sake of Science, are kept out of the team. So to all the parents involved: [static] you and your cutthroat competitiveness!

Dear Albirea, Your triad of dragons is great, but the red dragon is getting his head scorched..he's going to have to give the fire-breather a good bite!

Albirea, Pray tell how any judge of anything can be allowed to BE a judge or administrator, or whatever, when his own kid is a competitor?
Why does this not automatically disqualify the child or the parent?
Is there no governing body to complain to?
I am disgusted, and think there must be a way to contact other competitors and/or their parents and kick up a major outcry and/or investigation!
In the meantime, we need Kevinjh and The Dark Mage to whip up some bunions/hemorrhoids/projectile vomiting spells.

Dear Kevinjh, Does this mean that the Abusers of Albirea will not be suffering at ALL in the near future, which they rightly deserve?
Could you not at least sent them a multitude of bedbugs? And perhaps cause their breath to smell of goat cheese?
Um, the Science Fair creeps' breath, not the bedbugs' breath.

Dear Albirea, That is a ridiculous set-up. That would not be allowed in a Hula-Hoop tournament, why is it allowed in something serious?

Because apparently my school's teachers "don't have the time to be event advisors" and the kids on the team "need babysitting" in order to study (which brings me back to "NO MOTIVATION = GET OUT").

That really isn't that great of a set up, I'm sorry to hear that you had to deal with that as a result. But don't worry, shall I chant a spell my dear?
