Yay! My PIP has been stopped , looks like my GF benefit's will be stopped too thanks to wonderful Capita. Looks like I'll need to find a job that will support two people and torment myself till the inevitable burnout , then jump off a bridge. 2019 is going to be a cracker

Yeah it's not a great system if you struggle. My first PIP assessment gave me 0 points , it took months of appeals then miraculously I was awarded 15 points. My re-assessment wasn't due till July but they claimed due to a backlog I had my re-assessment early ( BS ) , they had new information including my ASD report and they decided to f**k me , it's a cost cutting exercise , they are hoping that'll I'll either give up or kill myself.

Make sure you get your doctor and any other professionals to provide evidence. They usually try to string you along for as long as possible hoping that you'll give up as you suggest - this is because they're amoral bastards, but if you persevere, you'll almost always get them money in the end. Remember when we had actual, functional socialism in this country?

They have all the evidence they need , it's just a ploy , I seeing my GP on Monday to get a social worker , hopefully someone who knows how the system works. What pisses me off if you have to game the system to get help and I don't mean lying , it's just the way things are worded , they appear to have a different language and if your claim is not in written in benefitese you get shafted. How can there be so many benefit cheats in the UK when people who need it can't get benefits , it's baffling.

There are no benefit cheats in the UK; it's a lie to get people to agree to sociopathic Tory/New Labour cuts so that members of the cabinet can give more subsidies to their mates in the City (the real benefit scroungers).

While I don't believe there are no benefit cheats in the UK , I'm sure the numbers are skewed by the government.

You should type all your long posts into a message / txt / note / email app on your phone , then copy and paste it here , if anything goes wrong you still have it as back up.

Do you need to claim UC Ferris or are you put on it automatically. If unsure get it started because it takes time to

come through, mine was seven weeks. It's all gone fine when I had no work and then when I had work (that I could

do) and they topped me up with the housing benefit part of UC.

I hate it when it does that.

It's always when it's a long post that I've taken a lot of time over. Never does it when it doesn't matter.

I hope you manage to get your PIP reinstated, Ferris. I had my DLA stopped after an initial reassessment a couple of years ago when it was being phased out in favour of PIP. This happened to me while I was out of work which was hardly welcome! I appealed and managed to get it reinstated as a PIP but the whole process still took 6 months. Luckily, I was back in work by the time it was restored so I wasn't too badly affected by the loss of it but I know many are not so fortunate.

It's been 8 weeks since my Capita interview so I phoned DWP today and they told me the good news , they wouldn't answer any question , I couldn't even appeal as they kept saying we have sent you a letter please read this first.
