people adhere to old ways of saying things.

a person told me that they "wound" the window up in their car when they were in a smoke filled tunnel, but they have electric windows and there are no "winders".

someone on the television said "just dial 1300 180 ??? to get your free trial", but my phone and almost all phones are press button phones and they do not have "dials" any more.

i heard someone say that they tipped something into the toilet and when they "pulled the chain", that the toilet got clogged. i have not seen a toilet with a chain on it since i was a small child.

i am almost asleep.
nothing i say is not random when i need to be plugged into my charger.

i wonder whether any tyrannosaur, after it was fed and satisfied, and had time to relax and think about other things, ever found anything funny (in it's own special way)?

I am happy. Best day of the summer.

In other news, I am very frustrated. My hands are shaking. It is hard to type.

In other other news, I am very proud of my sister who graduated grade 8 on Tuesday. With honours, and the music award (she takes after me, of course. )

I still sometimes call cd's "records". I also "dial" phones and "roll up" the car window (I guess if I were in Australia I would be incorrectly "winding" it). To the complete confusion of my daughter, I call DVD's "videos" although I at least don't call the DVD player a VCR.

It's my age. I'm sure today's young people will be equally anachronistic when they call something or other on the computer a "file" in 2040.

I'm just doing one chore, each day. Today I'm doing laundry, I'll get groceries, tomorrow and on Sunday, I'll do the housekeeping.

I've felt very off the past few days. I don't know what's wrong...

There's still some problems there. You're going to have to hide out beforehand, as by the time you get 300 meters away, they could be somewhere else entirely. So you're either going to have to known their schedule beforehand or lure them out there somehow. If you do the former, you're going to have to do some stalking, which leaves you vulnerable to people noticing. If you do the latter, there has to be some form of communication there, and that could potentially be traced back to you.

Clearly, you're going to have to have an isolated spot to shoot from if you wear overalls, gloves, and a hat of some sort. If that's the case, you're going to need to be able to get to and from it without being noticed, which shouldn't be too difficult except for the fact you'll have to change at some point (wearing overalls, etc, in public is going to get you noticed), so either you'll be changing at your hideout (best) or somewhere between your starting destination and there (not so best).

Plus, you'll have to obtain the gun somehow. If you buy it legally and something screws up, they'll be able to connect it to you through ballistics and records. If you get it illegally, you're putting trust in someone else who may give you up.

Just saying. It's a good plan, but it's not effectively 0%, especially with the first problem (getting the victim into position). Personally, I prefer going with natural looking, like using succinylcholine (though that, of course, brings up problems all its own).


Random: Sitting in Cultural Diversity today and paying little attention, I hear the question, "Does anyone know what an aspie is?" and immediately raise my hand (as the only person who knows) to answer the first thought that comes into my head, which is, "A soundwave of stupidity." Fortunately, I was able to course correct before she actually called on me and thus answered a more appropriate, "Someone who has Asperger's Syndrome, which is on the Autism Spectrum."

I have too much on my mind. Making a no-budget movie, getting a blood drive off of the ground, and reading three chapters in my textbook.
