I'm not sure what PIP is, does that mean you lose all of your benefit or a portion?
Either way it sucks.

"Personal Independence Payment". It's a new name given to what was formerly known as "Disability Living Allowance" so that the subjectivity in the term "personal Independence" could be more easily exploited to cut off the funds of the disabled and vulnerable.

It's a portion of it , I am also on ESA because I can't work , It's a joint claim with my GF , I actually get £10 a week plus housing benefit.

So I'll have a roof over my head unless they stop that as well ( but no food , electricity etc ). I have no more notches in my belt , it's as tight as it can go.

I used to have a good job that supported us both , I'll never get a job like that again or even keep it.

I have the right to appeal but it's a daunting process.

If that's addressed to me, then, yes, I do like Swamp Thing although I'm more of a fan of Alan Moore's work in general as my username suggests.

Yeah it was addressed to you. Swamp Thing comics is the only thing I've read by AM , the rest of his work I've watched when it was made into films.

I heard that the UK has better sweets than we have here in the US. :D

Springerboy told me that our chocolates are kind of bitter in comparison.

Well I had imported German chocolates once. I know it's not the UK but the moment they went into my mouth I felt like I had died and gone to heaven. :star:

American sweets (should I say "candy"?) taste of nothing but additives and chemical flavourings. The Americans took over the Cadbury chocolate company recently (a national treasure) and they've been abominable ever since - I almost never buy Cadbury anymore.

Same here, the only exception being when I see a pack of six Fudge bars going for £1.

Seems like most American food is mass produced and processed with chemicals and preservatives nowadays. People in this country rarely eat real food anymore and instead they buy the cheap and instant stuff.

I feel good knowing that I can cook a few things from scratch though. :chef:

^^
A finger of Fudge is just enough until it's time to eat
It's full of Cadbury goodness but very small and neat
