I raised my own standards of myself a little, yesterday. I packed up something that wasn't doing anything for me anymore and replaced it with two things that bring me joy. The stein represents October and the gingerbread house represents December. If that's what staying away from coffee and energy drinks does for me, I'm on the right path.

I just saw a nurse pushing a bin of dirty laundry down the hall. He didn't seem too happy about it.

Someone at Tim Hortons called me a Schlager today. I took it as a compliment. A Schlager is someone who listens to Schlager music. The word is also slang for Bavarian. It's a pleasant thing to be.
