Been into engines since I was about 10, and got my hands on a rusted old lawn mower with a Briggs and Stratton 3.5hp 4 stroke engine. The thing was siezed from being out of use so long, but I managed to get it running by completely stripping it down and reassembling it.
The funny thing is, while I'm into shows like Monster Garage (which got me into welding) and Top Gear, I'm a total hippy, and on a strict budget, so I've got to think a bit different. I decided this year I'm going to get some wheels and some more independance, so I'm currently saving, and hopefully, by the end of the year, I should be able to afford one of these:
A Honda Ruckus/Zoomer (US+Japanese/European versions). It's got a 50cc, water cooled 4 stroke, with OHC. The Ruckus has a carb, but the Zoomer has programmed fuel injection.
With a little work, and probably twice as much money as the bike itself is going to cost (not even including the shipping on the parts), I hope to get it, maybe, looking something like this (I'm still not decided on exactly what style I want to go for), and to the magical 50mph mark:
The Countach was always my favorite supercar as a kid, although today if I could get a performance car, being proud to be a nerd, I'd probably go for something like this:
Caterham R500. 0-60 in 2.88s. (The YouTube)
